I had bought this car after my wife passed away in 2017 as a father and son project to build memories with, I had always wanted a 61 T-Bird ever since I saw one as a child in the sixties, Unfortunately I am still feeling the financial whiplash of the last couple of years I am forced to sell it so that I can take my son on a surprise Springbreak/Birthday trip next week, and taking him somewhere amazing since he is an amazing kid and this is more important for me!!! When I found this car I was pleased with the way it looked (paint shows very nicely with a tiny touch up here or there) and the attitude it projects, it has two major modifications, a transplant 400m out of a 1970's T-Bird and even with the 2 BBL it still has more initial power, the other Mod is the door handles were Fabricated solid so that the fin has a consistent flow and I think it adds the feel of the cars form as well as to the attitude! It has rear air shocks and a solid exhaust system that also lends to that attitude!!II There are a few other small funky mods such as the tailights 63' (I include the proper 61 chrome cylinder inserts and lens covers), the interior aluminum was replaced with black carpet (yuck!!!.....I am including the OEM aluminum to replace all of this from the drivers rear, drivers door, dash, console, passenger door, passenger rear) This interior is fair condition needs console glovebox lid repair, the headliner is in fair condition with no rips or holes very solid(expertly patched in two spots), the dash has a decent quality thin carpet cover, rear seat bottom could use a little tlc, Non air model, original radio and aftermaket stereo, original keys and shop manual, push button ignition, front seats are original and covered with good quality covers! This car turns heads wherever it goes and gets lots of whistles and compliments although it does need some TLC such as a routine tune up on the front suspension and the front brake cylinders need to be rebuilt(kit included) replaced or converted to disc which is what I had intended on doing! The sale also includes 2 aluminum threshold runners OEM, 2 new rear power window motors, 2 new condition hood eyebrow chrome pieces to replace the faded ones, the chrome is in fair condition and is not without luster as seen in the pics but its not perfect still gets those compliments, please no low ballers as the finances from the sale of this car is much needed although it breaks my heart andI hate to sell this car but I am sure there is someone out there who will give it the TLC my son and I had intended! This is a fantastic car for what I am asking! If your a traditionalist and want a 390 I know of a guy who has a 1964 set up! I am looking to sell quick so shoot me an offer?
