1969 Mustang Mach 1 Fastback 4-Speed M-Code Numbers Match Rust Free NO RESERVE!Please ask any questions I am not a classic car expert. but will answer any questions to the best of my ability. Ragen 918-630-0055BodyThis is an extremely solid car. I have had lots of old cars and this by far the most solid I've seen. I purchased the stang an hour sw of Odessa Tx. and spent the majority of time in El Paso before that. Underneath this thing is as solid as they come zero rust issues. The paint job is several years old and is a good driver quality shines very nice has a few scratches and could use a good buffing out. The ol girl has had a few color changes over the years. I'm pretty sure the original color was aqua color. The not so smart people (trying to be politically correct) that painted the car removed the door tag sorry to say. Body work is nice and very presentably straight. The body panel fit and alignment are pretty good. The hood has a little warp (see pics) and I would replace if I were going to keep her. probably a shaker upgrade. Doors close solid trunk and hood. There is one bad spot on the body over the drivers side rear wheel where there is a couple small cracks in the paint approx. 1/2 inch in length. The glass is in good shape all there is a bb crack in the windshield the size of a quarter on the bottom drivers side 2 inches from the bottom. The bright work is good. the front bumper is new back is ok. needs the wheel molding and the trim along the bottom of the door. InteriorThe interior was not in the car when I purchased it and I have done the best I can to put back to a useable functional and presentable state. Seat covers are new front and rear. door panels are new. carpet is new package shelf is new. front seat belts new. sail panel covers new. window felt new. parking brake assy new (not functional yet). head liner is ok new one in trunk ready for install. and the windshield pillar plastic covers need to be replaced. Dash needs has a new cap in place. if I were keeping it I would get the dash redone (cap is a band aid in my opinion). Dash lights work good all exterior lights work good. gagues work good speedo cable could use attention. heater fan works needs heater core. no ac. wipers work need new blades. Still could use fine tuning here and there. Had a horrible red Grant GT steering wheel that I instantly replaced with a rim blow factory original . horn does not work and the wheel could use restore. but is way better than the Grant GT( have not had time to fix). Drive TrainThe motor is the original 351w factory M-code 4v engine 290hp (see pictures for casting vin) starts reliably and still has good power. Has after market intake manifold. headers. valve covers. air cleaner. Has a exhaust leak between the header and the exhaust that needs attention easy fix. Factory power front disc brakes(see pics). rear drums. nbsp; I had to bleed the brakes. would recommend removing front and rear brake for inspection and check wheel bearings before any long distance hauls. I have driven this car over 100 miles in one day to 2 car shows without issues. Suspension is good could use new shocks pulls to the left just a little. Probably could use refreshing. Power steering works good I put new seals in the steering cylinder (leaked bad when I purchased). I have not inspected u joints. The clutch works good smooth release. 4-speed is a RUG E3 which translates to 1969 Mustang wide ratio 28 spline. The transmission needs rebuild. it stays in gear shifts fine can be utilized daily. but the synchronizers are worn. She has a 9 inch WFB-C rear axle which translates to 1969 mustang 3. 25 ratio 28-spline. Tires are like new Cooper in good shape. SummaryThis is an awesome solid project you can drive enjoy and restore all at the same time. I am not a Ford historian so please ask any questions. do a Marti report. call me. come and inspect the car in person. I have too many projects and time is getting thin.
