Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS The great thing about vintage Mustangs is their ability to be all things to all people. This intimidating 1967 Ford Mustang has a brutal look that probably comes from its combination of monochromatic paint and heavy-duty hardware under the skin. The 302 under the hood delivers on the promises made by the car's look and it's nicely outfitted with options like A/C and power steering. Fully refinished about six months ago. this anthracite coupe has a heavy-duty look that's not just an illusion. Professional workmanship shows throughout. from the laser-sharp black stripes on the hood and trunk to the high-gloss finish that shows off the coupe's bodywork to great effect. You can see the care that went into it by the razor-sharp crease running along the sides and the nice gaps throughout. and in a world where everyone has a red Mustang. this one will probably stand out. Shelby fans will recognize the center-mounted driving lights. which are fitted to a custom grille that really transforms the look of the familiar Mustang coupe. Nice chrome bumpers contrast wonderfully with the gray paint and maintain the traditional pony car look and the stainless trim is original but in good condition overall. The interior is standard Mustang fare. which means sporty buckets. a wood-rimmed wheel. and some of the most attractive gauges of the era. Newer seat covers replicate the factory patterns and materials and match the door panels which are equally new. A taut headliner and correct carpets help with the OEM look and we like the industrial-strength look of the shifter sticking out of the transmission tunnel. The factory gauges have white faces that put a modern spin on the original look and there's an under-dash tachometer and auxiliary gauges for good measure. This car has factory A/C. too. which is a somewhat rare option that's been augmented with a modern compressor and R134a refrigerant so it works properly today. The original AM radio is still in the dash. suggesting that the builder of this car had his priorities straight. although he certainly didn't cut any corners. Even the trunk is freshened with a correct reproduction plaid mat and a matching cover for the full-sized spare tire. The hardware is where this car really shines. and it's a lot more than just a set of wheels that make it special. The 302 cubic inch V8 has been rebuilt and uses roller rockers. a mild cam. Holley carburetor. and an MSD ignition to build some fairly serious horsepower. Ford Blue paint. a correct air cleaner. and Ford Racing valve covers dress things up a bit without distracting from the car's Mustang DNA. It's backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and an 8-inch rear end that are tough enough for the small block's output and it sounds fantastic exhaling through a dual exhaust system with Flowmasters that dump just ahead of the rear axle. There are also new shocks at all four corners. power steering and power brakes. and lots of fresh components on the chassis to make it ready to rock. Those big 18-inch wheels are from a 2011 GT and look right at home on this '67 coupe. proving that keeping it OEM has its benefits. Beautifully built and well-sorted. this '67 Mustang coupe keeps everything that makes vintage Mustangs great and adds some smart upgrades that make it a blast to drive.
