This is the classic Ford truck that everyone is looking for. It is a super clean California truck with mileage believed to be original and correct, built back in the days when Ford became the best-selling trucks in America, a title they still hold. It's got all the good stuff. 4WD, air conditioning, and if the off-road Dubs aren't your style, the owner has a set original wheels and tires that may be available (ask for details). ... The Cream and Dark Brown two tone paint job on this truck is outstanding. You would be hard pressed to find any dust or imperfections and the body panels line up nicely. The new chrome front bumper shines brightly under that familiar grill flanked by rectangular headlights with FORD in script across the front of the hood. The dark brown on the side is trimmed out with thin chrome molding tracing the line over the fender wells with black and chrome body side molding running in a straight line along the top. The tailgate is trimmed out in dark brown sections trimmed in chrome on a cream background and FORD in bold letters set into a highly polished panel across the middle. There are new rubber seals around all the windows and Ford F250 Ranger Lariat badges on the front fenders. There are Carr step ups as well as new side mirrors and the lock and latch for the storage compartment are also new. Open the door and you will find a very clean interior that looks like new. It helps that most of it actually is new. The bench seat has a new seat cover that is beautiful and comfortable with medium brown seating surfaces surrounded by a bit of cream with dark brown completing the border. It matches the door panels nicely and there is also a new headliner which is trimmed in chrome and will help keep the cab noise down. A two-spoke steering wheel sits in front of a stock dash board dressed in wood tone panels and chrome edging. The shifter for the automatic transmission is on the column and the lever for the 4WD transfer case is on the floor. Ventilation controls, including those for the factory air conditioning, are just over an AM/FM radio. Ranger and Lariat badges appear on the glove box door and new carpeting is protected by floor mats. A really nice feature of this truck is that the mileage on the engine and drivetrain is believed to be correct at 60,536. That's barely through break in! The engine is a 400 cubic inch powerhouse. It was built by Ford using a tall block 351 Cleveland to accommodate a longer stroke, and benefits from the free breathing heads of the Cleveland motor. It is completely stock and even still has the flex duct that draws fresh air in from the grill to the air filter housing. There is a newer master cylinder and power brake booster for the front disc brakes as well as new A/C lines on the FOMOCO compressor. Power runs back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to the transfer case then the rear wheels and through manual hubs to the front wheels in 4WD. The stock wheels and tires are available from the owner if desired, but 20-inch Chrome Moto Metal wheels sporting 35 x 12.50 x 20 Courser MXT tires are outfitted on the truck right now. A super clean, low mileage, mid 70s California pickup. Dude! It doesn't get any better than this!
