Car description

This 1932 Ford Model "B" Roadsteris a fun and well maintained driver.Previously owned by a Florida doctorwho around 1990 had it restored/prepped to enter it into the 1993 Great American Race in whichit successfully participated and finished without any issues. I think this speaks well to it's preparation and dependability. It was not driven to, or from the race. Soon after, theauxiliary special race speedometer was removed anda stock speedometer was connected thatshowedzero or no miles. The Roadster wassoon sold to an enthusiast in N. Palm Beach Florida who was getting on in age and seldom drove it.I purchased it from him in the Summer of 2000 with about 1,000 miles showing on the odometer. As of todaythe Speedometer reads 5,674.It was trailered to and from the Race.

I estimatenow*: *Total Mileage*4000+/- for the Race + 5674 odometer = 9674+/- since 1990

I have taken this roadster on a few 300 mile trips out of town and the rest of the mileage was accumulated on cruise nights and club functions. It has, as some say "never failed to proceed" or left me on the side of the road. Oilchanged, serviced, and greased regularly.

When it was restored/prepped/refurbished for the race,1940 Ford hydraulic brakes were fitted front and rear. (Which I have had the fluid flushed every 3-4 years). Hydraulic Tube Shock absorbers wereinstalled. Ibelieve the rear end gears are 1 to 3:54 (or 3:78) as it cruises effortlessly at 55. Transmission is quiet, clutch works as it should. Engine starts right up, starts easily with hand crank! Electrics converted to 12-Voltincluding thealternator and starter. Leakless water pumpwith up-graded modern fan blade attached. Thermostat installed in upper hose, no issues of overheating. Electric fuel pumpwith regulator. Aftermarket 12V ahooga horn (12V) under hood.

**Serial number on Title matches serial number stamped at back of engine, see picture.

Body and sheet metalare in good condition, lacquer paint is a20 footer with some blemishesand somepaint touch up but presentable for a 28 year old restoration. The underside is clean as well, see pictures. The front seat cover has somewear and tears, the topmaterial is faded. Included arelikenew Side Curtains and extra spare tire cover, Engine Crank set and non original jack.Tires are decent, evenly worn tread, butshould be replaced if considering a long trip. The door handles may be reproductions as may be a few otheritems. NiceOriginal gas gauge not hooked up, Original Amp gauge works.Always Garaged.

The description of this car is written to the best of my knowledge, I am not an expert. I encourage you to call meand ask questions before Bidding, Honest answers given.Come drive it or send a friend to inspect it.

Reason for Selling, I have other projects thatI want to devote my time to. I offered it to my son, helives in Manhattanand has no way of keeping it so it's "sell it Dad."

This is a opportunity to acquire a well maintained, dependable, desirable and great driver for: Fun tripsout on the town, cruise nights ortakingfriends, grandkids out for ice cream. Or... Another Great Race?

My health is excellent, I have plenty of storage space and selling it is not is not going to change my or my sonslife style so, I will not entertain any offers.
