Car description |

Up for bid is my dads 64' Fairlaine "ol' Gray" which he has had since he was in college, and I remember riding in it with my grandpa in the 80's.Unfortunately it is beyond our repair and looking for someone who is looking for a 2-door post Fairlaine 500 (V8 3speed manual), it could be a good car to make into a drag car and not worry about cutting up and caging it. Not many post cars that haven't already been turned into thunderbolts. Restoring it to an original car would be a brave undertaking. Good clean VIN# Will be sold on bill of sale. My dad may be willing to help get a title as it has been lost, and was last titled under my grandpas name who passed away 1994. Has been in the family since 1969 or 1970.
In the mid 90's as a teenager I got the 260 running and checked the 3 speed trans and things ran and moved and shifted nicely on the blocks that resided on. Unfortunately as we climbed under the rear the springs had rusted apart in places and we notice the rear subframe was substantially comprimised by rust. This was the end of me progressing towards making it road worthy. Overall condition is what you could imagine of a car like like this living in KS it whole life. Rust in all the right places. At that time I remember the front floors being solid but that was 20+ yrs ago.
Here recently a couple yrs ago some vandals came by and knocked all the windows out of it. So it has been setting open, mom and dad had tried to keep it sealed up with plastic but it didn't last long in the KS wind.
Being sold as is. Most all the parts are there except obviously the glass. I think the grill and some other items are around and may be available at additional cost.
The pictures that are listed are what I have. If you want to inspect it I will have to get you in touch with my parents, they are in Marysville car is in Frankfort a 20 mile drive. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me 785-562-8107
What you see is what you are bidding on.
Winning bidder will be required to move it from its location it will likely require a rollback truck or a trailer with a substantial winch. Would need to be moved before the end of September or sooner.
Drive in with a trailer for the BOSS MUSTANG NATIONALS September 7-9 in Marysville, KS and take home this Fairlaine.
260 V8 3-speed manual trans
Pickup only we do not have the means to help arrange shipping, as previously stated.
