CONSIDER SWAPS.
As to myself, I am a (68) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is at 100% with (1,196) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.
Some Brief History on the 1964½ Ford Mustang.
On April 17,1964, theMustangwas introduced to the public at the World's Fair in New York. Before the day was over, Ford had secured 22,000 orders for the vehicle at dealerships across the country. As such, the1964 Mustangwas considered an instant hit with consumers. With a price tag of a mere $2,320.96, Mustang costs roughly half as much as a Chevrolet Corvette. Interior "Luxury options" include: full-length center seat console, air conditioner, convertible with power-operated top, vinyl tonneau cover and deluxe wheel covers. With its abundance of optional equipment, it is easy to imagine a Mustang for every type of personality.
Powertrain options begin with a 170-cubic inch diameter (cid), single-barrel carbureted inline-six, which is a carryover from the Falcon. The strongest pulling of the five available blocks is the 260 cid V8.
March 11, Henry Ford II's nephew parades a pre-production black Mustang to lunch in downtown Detroit. Newsweek picks up the "unauthorized" disclosure. This becomes one of several clever public relations schemes. Magazine ads appear, hinting at a first look at the groundbreaking Mustang: "The most exciting thing on TV tonight will be a commercial." During the 9 p.m. time slot, 29 million Americans watch the "unveiling."
Mustang preoccupies the public's attention at the World's Fair in Flushing Meadows. Later, the automotive press takes to the road in a Mustang tour from New York to Detroit. An eager press corps assembles on the Empire State building observation deck for a reveal of the Mustang. To manage the feat, a Mustang is disassembled, freighted up a service elevator, and reassembled.
May 31, Mustang is the official Pace Car of the 48th Annual Indianapolis 500. of the 36 Wimbledon White Mustang convertibles employed at the Brickyard, three K-code 271-horsepower 289 cid V8s are prepared for the parade lap.
A yellow convertible becomes the first Mustang to appear on the big screen in "Goldfinger." Bond gives chase in an Aston Martin DB-5.

Now for your consideration is my real and beautiful 1964½ Mustang. This 6-cylinder automatic Mustang is simply in outstanding overall condition. The paint is very nice and the interior is excellent. The engine compartment is very clean along with the trunk. Looking at the undercarriage, you will see that it is very clean and rust free with good single exhaust. All gauges, lights and instruments are in good working order including the upgraded radio. (The original radio and speaker are in the trunk.) The Mustang starts, stops, shifts, runs and drives down the road excellent. Remember, this is a non-power assisted brake Mustang so even though the brakes are very good, you still have to put some effort into it when stopping. There are tons of early Mustangs out there but try to find another one like this and in this beautiful overall condition. If they are out there, I haven’t seen many for sale.

Exterior: The 1964½ Mustang is extremely nice. Just look at the photos and video. The paint is very good and the trim is excellent. The front and rear bumpers are in very good condition as well. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in very good condition. Marker lights, tail lights and bezels are all very good with no cracks or pitting. All glass is considered to be in very good condition with no cracks.
Interior: The interior is excellent. No issues with the seats, door panels, headliner or dash. The carpet is also good with rugs front and back as well as red Mustang floor mats. The center console looks great with no cracks or staining. Lower seat belts are present and in good condition. Door locks and windows are in good working order with good window whiskers and weather stripping. It should be noted that when the car was painted, the door jamb areas were not painted.
Engine: The original 6-cylinder engine block sits in the engine bay. There are no messy engine leaks or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this Mustang’s engine compartment and the overall look is clean and neat in appearance. The only issue I have is with the engine when idling. It seems to idle fine sometimes however somewhat high. Other times it idles somewhat rough. It always starts right up again. Once on the road, it runs and drives excellent.
1964 ½ Mustang Confirmation Photos:
Trunk: The trunk is in very good condition with no rust noted. There is a spare and the jack assembly is present. There are trunk mats and a spare cover as well.
Undercarriage: The undercarriage is very nice showing no signs of rust or rot. Look at the extensive undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than any description that I can conger up.
