Car description

You’d be hard pressed to find another ShoeBox as nice as this, my 67 year old baby, and when you consider what’s on this one, it would be near impossible.I’ve owned this jewel for many years, nearly 30,& would not be parting ways if it wasn’t for more lung cancer.Flathead figures out to be 282.587 (3 5/16+.040) w/ 4” crank, polished Offenhauser 9-1 headsw/combustion areas relieved, Chrome Offy intake with 3 Holley 94’s, Mallory E-Spark in Mallory Dual Distb. And High Output Coil, Magnecor Custom 8.5mm Race Wires, Clay Smith Street ¾ Cam (C272 =Adv.Int. Duration w/325 Lift, Hardened Seats, smooth idle but you can hear the cam in back,Flathead Jacks oil port over fuel pump opening plus his Chrome Head Bolts, Fifth Ave. Electric fuel pump and 12 Volt Alternator and Conversions, (Spare new chrome alt. New in pkg.), also 12 V overdrive solenoid came from Fifth Ave. as well, lots of spares,Block is drilled & plugged enabling full oil filtering with NASCAR filter.Lots of spares with this baby, when you find something that works good, you get another!Red’s Headers with Smithys, Ross Racing Pistons from Henry Downing, Isky adjustables, HD Springs & oversized SS Manley Valves, Exhaust ports relieved & polished, (Lots of help over the many years from Rich Bickle in WI and Bud Lee in TX) Four Row 12# cap Pressure Radiator w/expansion tube, Electric fan for parades, New Quartz Clock in old face, Antique Radio Conversions AM/FM in old radio face with CD & Ipad connection & 4 speakers, Dual Chamber Master Cyl. W/Vacuum Assist-feels like Pwr. Brakes, Front Disc Brakes, Jamco Ultra Cruise Ball Joint Suspension, Oversized front sway bar and rear sway bar installed,Blue Dots front & rear, New American Classics look just like radials and steer much better than reg. radials in close qtr’s - still have a good set of Coker Radials, I have extra Old’s Fiesta Wheelcovers & I have 4 spare wheels. All Chrome was redone show quality by AIH in Dubuque about a dozen years ago.Lunch served on the underbody. Many spares, new coils, new ignition, new alternator, rebuilt water pumps, rebuilt starters, gaskets sets incl. oversized, thermostats, wiring, distributors, lots of new plugs, spare new fuel pump, plus I even have a spare block it is a ’53 Merc bored to 3 5/16.Friend in need just talked me out of my spare Merc 4”.Ford is a Custom Model with the side Crestliner Stainless that I put on her. It took me 5 yrs. to find the rear part of the Side Crestliner Strip and a few more years before applying Red Paint into the inset, Beautiful Eh!Car was in Ontario with me for a few years in the Summers, also belonged to a couple car clubs in Kenora and Winnipeg then.Car handles and runs down the road very nicely, I keep speed under 80 due to the visor, don’t know how much it might take.Body was completely re-done in 1998 as you can see in the pics, it was a completely stock car for many years before that, engine was changed a couple times, present and final version was finished in about 2008.The present set-up has not needed any adjusting for maybe five years or more, quite a good set-up.94’s were completely rebuilt including being machine planed, I have a fresh spare rebuilt 94 in chrome; primary has .051 jets while secondaries are .049..MPG is probably not much more than stock due to the super progressive linkage unless you get on it to where the secondaries kick in.You can get to 80 mighty quick from driving along in OD at about 55 if you floor it, the downshift OD button under the accelerator pedal is like a thruster.Same stock 3 on the tree transmission OD and rear end.Striping both in & out is by Bill Faust of Shannon IL.Mileage since engine rebuild is probably less than 3,000.I’m not sure how many pics I’ll be allowed to include with my listing thus more pics are available on request. I have more than 40 trophies that were awarded to this car, but haven’t even been to a car show in two years due to poor health, I’m 77. I have a multitude of parts, book & supplies to go with this car, the only thing it needs is a new cover maybe!Car has Aerostar springs in front which are a bit shorter than stock and 2” blocks in rear, fairly level. I am not going to give the car away, but I truly should sell due to getting close to curtain time. Downpayment of 10% via Pay Pal within (3) days, balance by Bank Transfer within (10) days; to complete sale. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping costs and sales tax and licensing expense.
