Car description

5.0, 4 barrel Edelbrock, 5 speed. Lot's of mechanical work done to this car to get in running good again! Car runs great with lots of power. Needs someone to finish the project out. Straight body. Hardly any rust - always in Texas its whole life and is being sold from Texas.
Here's the work that's been done to it within the last year:

  • Rack & Pinion (with new spindle nuts)
  • Power Steering Pump (though makes a little whining noise still)
  • Power Steering Return & Pressure hoses
  • Spark Plugs & Wires
  • Distributor Rotor & Cap
  • PCV Valve
  • Vacuum Control Valve
  • Air Cleaner Inlet Tubes
  • Serpentine Belt
  • Inner and Outer Front Wheel Bearings
  • Wheel Bearing Dust Caps
  • Wheel Seals
  • Front rotors and pads
  • Rear drums and shoes
  • Front Hydraulic Brake Hoses (both sides and brake fluid flushed)
  • Stabilizer Bar Link Ends (both sides)
  • Stabilizer Bar Bushings
  • Inner & Outer Tie Rod Ends (both sides)
  • Valve Covers
  • Valve Cover Gaskets
  • Oil Breather Cap
  • U Joints (front and back)
  • Exhaust (through there seems to be a small exhaust leak you can hear when the car is cold)
  • Other items: alignment, wiper blades, low beam headlights, horn, rear view mirror, side marker lights, fuel tank cap, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter
  • Items that come with car, but not installed: blower motor and resistor, heater core, battery tray kit (current battery is still good, but too big for the tray)
Here's a link for a couple videos (there's a lot of white noise, but you'll be able to hear how the exhaust sounds at normal idle).

We drive it now for fun - again, runs great!
What can still be done: needs new top (we just keep it down and keep it in the garage and drive it in good weather); needs new door panels; an electrical switch for one of the windows not working as well as for the top; heater core needs replaced - it's been bypassed, but I have a new one that will go with the car; also have new blower motor and resistor for fan that will go with the car and needs to be installed; has factory a/c but is not working; the clear coat on the hood is peeling...
Car is being sold AS-IS. As mentioned above, this car needs someone to finish it out. There is still some work to be done. If you have any other questions please contact me. Thank you!
