Up for your viewing is our 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Fastback. This Galaxie is believed to be 27,800 actual miles that is documented with a copy of the previous title showing "actual miles”. It is sure to be a low mileage car by the condition and it's drivability. The engine is the original Z code high compression 390 which has been upgraded with TriPower utilizing a factory Ford intake manifold and new Holley carburetors. Under the hood is very clean and well detailed with subtle upgrades like finned valve covers and oval aluminum air cleaner. The transmission is the original 4-speed manual with a new clutch that has a smooth clutch pedal. The shifter is original and is the correct one, shifts easily and smooth. The rear end is the original with 3.50:1 gear ratio. New dual stainless-steel exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and x pipe give the car a subtle, yet nice rumble. This entire drive train is a great combination for around town and highway driving.....there is PLENTY of power too!

The exterior of this car is beautiful and has been professionally refinished in its original color combination of Prairie Bronze with a Wimbledon White top. The body and paint on this car is laser straight, color sanded and polished to perfection. The trim and brightwork is also in immaculate condition and is show quality. All of the glass is original and flawless. Finished off with American Mag wheels and new BFGoodrich "redline" radial tires, giving the car a real Muscle Car look.

The Palomino XL interior is 100% original. With only 27,800 miles and garaged since new the interior shows almost no wear. The carpet, seats, door panels and headliner are truly beautiful and original. The dash, being the centerpiece of the interior is almost impeccable. All of the gauges work properly and are accurate, the switches and controls all feel unused and operate like a new car. Auxiliary high quality engine gauges have been added to fully monitor the engines vitals (easily removeable, but handy for drivability). Everything in this car works properly including; the horn, radio, heater, wipers, lights, signals, speedo and courtesy lights.

This car was sold new in Orlando, Florida and spent much of its life in the south where is was never exposed to corrosive winters. It's a rust free and very solid car. The undercarriage is clean and original.
