Up for sale we have a 1968 Ford Galaxie Fastback. This car has been in East TN most of its life and is a great cruiser that has had some nice updating. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of this Galaxie. The body on it is in great condition with beautiful body lines and great fit of the panels. Both doors, the hood, and the trunk have good fit as well along with all the gaps being symmetrical. This '68 is covered in the White paint that is accented by the Black Vinyl Top. The paint has been buffed, polished, and has a great shine. Looking at the chrome and stainless you can see that the bumpers appear to have been redone. The rest of it is in great condition and has been well taken care of over the years. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 18" and 20" Billet Specialty Wheels.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '68. On the inside it's done in black which is the perfect complement to the two tone exterior. You can see that it has had new door panels installed along with new Seat Covers, Carpet, and Seal plates. Looking at the dash it all appears to be factory with working gauges and even the radio working. The arm rest, some of the trim, and the headliner are not new but are in great condition. In the trunk all the metal appears to be rock solid. It also has the mat along with the spare and jack.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. This is a factory 390 car and its date codes line up for it to be original to this car. The car has an 07C build date with the engine having an 8B26 date code. The 390 is set up with an Edelbrock Intake and an Edebrock carb. It has the stock style appearance with the painted Ford Valve Covers and the Matching Intake with the 390 Call Out. The 390 engine is mated to the correct PGA A2 Coded C6 Transmission and WDC-CA 9" Rear End with a 2.75 Gear. This car is a factory AC car and it also has Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on the front and drums out back. For exhaust it has Manifolds with 2' Pipes and Turbo Mufflers. When you look under it you can see the floors and frame all appear to be original and in great condition, you can also see that a new Gas Tanks has been installed.
