This noble Ranger XLT Ford work truck STARTS and RUNS. tabs current . has been my daily work truck for 20 years. Automatic transmission with high and low range 4WD. I have maintained it so that when I turn the key in the morning it starts and is ready for work. Engine is a 351M with an RV cam. Engine has a four-bolt main in a rugged big block design. Crank does NOT knock. Good: Many mechanical components have been maintained and replaced IN THE PAST YEAR: receipts for all parts and labor are available: New (over $1000) Dana 44 Front axles. U-joints. Monroe gas shocks. wheel bearings. brakes. battery. starter. new ($350) MSD billet electronic distributer. coil and MSD spark plug wires. new power steering pump. new power brake vacuum booster. master cylinder. alternator. water pump. fuel pump. new ($275) Holly 4-barrel carb (by Kirkland Carb Connections). New ($350) Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. new GlassPack mufflers (by Airport Welding) with new dual exhaust (from ceramic coated headers). two new ($500) BFG All Terrain 275/75/16 rear tires. (BFG front tires are at 65%). New radiator hoses and belts. Heavy duty trailer hitch. The C6 automatic transmission is in good condition. was rebuilt by Kirkland Transmission with improved components. Transmission fluid regularly changed by KT. The differential. transfer case bearings. U-joints and front axles were rebuilt last March by NW Differential. New Warn hubs on front wheels. Four wheel high and low range work very well. Windshield is newer and in clear condition. Bad: Rough idle due to uneven compression. Body rust. nbsp;dents. some non-working lighting and electrical features. trim. and seat are not pretty. but many old trucks are much. much worse. Replacement parts are readily available at reasonable cost from NAPA. A new long block engine is available from engine builders for $1400 to $1600 with the RV cam installed and ready to go.
