No dollar was spared on this incredible 1951 Ford Custom Victoria 2-Dr Hardtop that has been meticulously rotisserie restored inside and out to original factory specificationsin year 2001.NOTE: The pictures below this write-up are hosted .Sometimes pictures load slowly depending on the age of your computer and the speed of your connection to the Internet. If they don't load immediately let your computer just sit and wait for them to load. This was Ford's first two-door hardtop and was said to be one of the most well-proportioned cars ever to come off the Dearborn assembly lines it also proved its popularity by outselling Chevrolet's Bel Air by nearly 7,000 during its introductory year. The most noticeable exterior change was the replacement of the single large spinner on the horizontal bar of the grill with two smaller spinners. Inside, the 1951 model featured a completely redesigned instrument panel switch grouped all of the instruments in front of the driver. This particular 1951 Custom Victoria under the hood features the 239 CID 100HP V8 engine, equipped with a standard three-speed transmission, Ford's newly introduced two-speed Ford-O-Matic transmission which was optional, Aftermarket "Magic Air" air conditioning, Factory AM radio, Dual exhaust, Power braking, and Power steering. All the gaps on the doors, trunk, etc. line up perfectly closing very smoothly, as well as when looking at the sub-frame there has been no repairs indicating this American classic has not been in any accidents or mishaps. The most immaculate part of the body structure is the amount of radiant chrome that was placed on every available location, fitting perfectly to the body. All the windows and glass is completely clear with no scratches, fogginess or any fading of any sort. Every panel lines up with the contour of the cars body showing off how perfectly and proper this car was built. Comes complete with the continental kit that was made specifically for this model. The fender skirts are in pristine condition giving this Custom Victoria a beautiful finish. The undercarriage is very clean, tidy and rust free. The car still has its original body frame with no bondo repairs. When you're behind the wheel driving through the lust cityscape, the first thing you'll hear is the roaring sound of the powerful engine. The acceleration is very responsive and smooth. It shifts between gears with no hesitation and handles down the road as straight and true as a bullet going towards its target. HISTORY:This classic car enthusiast/collector set out in the sixties to change his life in the Sunshine state of California. He started his passion with cars at that time by managing several gas stations for the Shell Oil Company. Later the opportunity to purchase his own station and be an owner operator he cashed in all his chips and bought his first station. He turned his passion into a hobby of collecting classic cars in the early 90's. He attended auctions around the country purchasing many cars he remembered in his childhood as well as from his father's in the 30's. He was a stickler for buying and maintaining the integrity of STOCK vehicles and prided himself to having OEM cars etc. He grew his collection to well over 30 vehicles in a short period of time and enjoyed buying them and enjoying them. He was very honest and enjoyed fixing them and maintaining them himself as a hobbyist and enthusiast at the same time.He also had a full time mechanic and maintenance guy that kept them in pristine condition. The cars have never seen the rain since he owned them and have been stored inside his climate controlled warehouse and babied each one like they deserved. He belonged to several clubs like the fabulous T-bird club and Model A club and spent time socializing and telling stories on weekends with young and old alike. He prided himself on taking care of these beautiful pieces of American history and he enjoyed them tremendously. The vehicles have been bought and or restored in perfect factory condition with as much original equipment that allows for this time period and a quick look at this entire collection you will see the fine examples which could carryover into any automotive museum that could house any one of these fine vehicles. If you are in the Southern California area please feel free to arrange for a test drive before the auction ends. If I can answer any other questions please feel free to call me at any time Kevin.. 714 402 4548
