Car description |

1949 Ford woody project car.
This car was originally purchased by my dad in the 80's from a barn in Hayward, CA. He spent a few years working on it with the intent of eventually restoring it, but stopped in the late 90's, and the car has been sitting untouched ever since. He passed away a couple years ago without finishing it, and I don't have the time for it, so I am looking for a good home.

Here are a few things I know about the car:
- The car is mostly complete. Items I know to be missing are mainly trim pieces (hood ornament, door handles, window trim, etc.).
- Wood needs to be done.
- 3 speed manual column shift.
- Flathead that was rebuilt in late 90s. Never driven. Probably needs a fresh rebuild. The car last started up about 10 years ago and it has all the mechanical components needed to run and drive, but it probably needs a fresh rebuild due to it sitting for so long.
- Most of the glass is in good shape. I believe one of the flat pieces in the back needs to be replaced.
- Body is in good shape except for some rust that needs to be repaired on the back panel (shown in photo), and some damage to the hood near one of the hinges (minor). No other major rust or damage to the sheetmetal.
- Floor boards are in good shape except for small rust thru spots. Probably can be patched without replacing the whole panels.
