1913 Model T Ford Speedster/Racer project; purchased from estate a month ago. was not running or put together. Removed engine from car because there was no transmission. Installed a transmission with crack free drums. new starter ring gear. jackrabbit clutch and removed magneto flywheel magnets. Inspected engine that had been worked on by the previous owner. As you can see in the pictures it has new pistons and rings. new valves. new timing gear. We checked the clearances on the rods and mains and they seem to be in proper tolerance. Engine has non-adjustable lifters. The valve clearances are 20-23 thousandths. We installed a low cylinder head. assembled engine and transmission into a 3 dip pan. installed quick change bands with new scandinavia linings. Installed a new clip-on distributor. new hoses. new fan belt. new front spring shackles. cleaned and regreased front wheel bearings. nd. installed a 6V Optima battery and new battery cables. The car has a new speedster gas tank. has accessory gas-water-oil cans with a nice period brass padlock and key. and a prest-o-lite tank mounted with leather straps. Car needs to be finished with new tires. the wheels have some loose spokes. needs a better radiator- the one that's there has had many repairs. Keep the body the way it is. or build a new body. We kind of like the patina it has. but it's your choice. Car will be sold on a bill of sale. It is in running condition. Starts fine. and the transmission has been tested on jack stands. The rear end seems fine. Has not been test driven due to no title or insurance. We can store it for up to 15 days after purchase. while buyer arranges pickup or shipping.
