This 1970 F100 seems to have inherited a lot of Mustang DNA. becoming a sporty truck that's entertaining to drive as well as practical. Nicely built with a rumbling V8 and a beautifully finished interior. it's a pleasure to drive and show. Next summer. do your hauling in style and comfort. Starting with a solid. original truck. the body was refinished in 1991 Ford Strawberry Red. which is actually fairly close to the original code T Candyapple Red that it wore in 1970. With chiseled good looks and a sporty demeanor from the short chassis and 6-foot bed. this was a sport truck before such things existed. Paint and bodywork were done to an above average standard. and the truck fits together very nicely. This truck shows no issues in the usual trouble spots like the rocker panels and rear bed sides. and the chassis confirms that this has never been a rusty vehicle. The paint is glossy and shows well and the bed is finished with a color-matched spray-on bedliner tough enough to haul lumber home from Home Depot. Chrome and trim are in good condition. with much of it being original so you know this has always been a good. clean truck. Thanks to a fresh black seat cover and a set of plush carpets. the interior looks OEM. although no truck in 1970 was ever this comfortable. The original dash was retained. and it looks awesome with that cool oval-shaped instrument cluster that is pure late-60s style. A Grant steering wheel hangs on the original column. but its thick rim and wooden rim are much more appropriate to this rejuvenated hauler. Fresh carpets on the floor look great and match the rest of the upholstery and there's a button-tufted headliner overhead that gives it a bit of an upscale look that's kind of cool. The original AM radio is still your primary source of entertainment. but it has a new dash speaker so it sounds decent and with new window felts. it seals up well and doesn't rattle. which makes it feel much more substantial. Originally powered by an acceleration-challenged 148 horsepower 302 cubic inch V8. this F100 now enjoys the performance of a somewhat more muscular 302 from an early '90s Mustang 5. 0. With a roller cam. a 4-barrel carb and and finned valve covers. it has a traditional hot-rod sound and accelerates the relatively lightweight truck with real authority. The engine also includes a Mustang front-end dress with serpentine belt drive system. as well as the original air cleaner up top to keep it low-key. A set of factory manifolds sound awesome exhaling through a pair of Flowmaster mufflers with polished tips peeking out from under the rear bumper. The transmission is a rebuilt C4 3-speed automatic that makes this truck a real party to drive while contributing to the vintage feel. Front disc brakes and power steering make it easy to drive. while the 1989 Ford truck wheels wear fat 255/70/15 Michelin X radials. This F100 is a great example of how a few simple modifications can completely transform a vehicle. No radical body surgery was necessary. just a clean. honest paint job with nice detailing. and the inviting interior delivers on the promise of luxury and comfort. No matter what you're hauling. this truck is up for it. Call now! 1970 Ford F-100 for Sale 1970 Ford F-100 for Sale Stock # 2868-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte.
