ONE OWNER 1967 Mustang!
In 1967 "Sally" wanted a new car. Her Husband Gene took her to the Ford dealer in Renton, Washington (near Seattle). Sally fell in love with an Acadian Blue Mustang, and they bought it on the spot! "Mustang Sally" drove the car very little (she was a school teacher and drove 3 miles round trip to work). By the mid 1980s, most of her kids grown, the Mustang sat under their carport. Gene had the car completely serviced in the late 90s and the car continued to sit. Finally they decided to sell Sally's Mustang and contacted a friend of mine, who immediately thought of me.
The car is pretty much "As Found". I got it running (runs GREAT) and started going through the brakes. Put brand new whitewall tires on and ordered a few items from NPD. Also started cleaning up under the hood. I started "Correcting the paint on the Passenger front fender... this car should clean up VERY nicely (with spot in respray or clear coat over faded areas).
The original owners signed an affidavit stating that the mileage is accurate at 25,000 (and they have some service records to back it up). The car pretty much never left a 25 mile radius of it's carport in 50 years!
The body is very solid (Ford did NOT rustproof these Mustangs). You can see the floors are very nice with some minor pinholes, I cleaned them up since these photos were taken. There is a rust spot at the front bottom outside corner of the doors (common) and the worst is the inside rear wheel arch (from dirt sitting in the bottom of the 1/4 panel/ wheelwell). There are also some pinholes near the sail panel at the bottom of the rear window as well. Minor, but FULL DISCLOSURE! There are MANY photos on my Flickr account (CarmanDriver1).
The interior is in really nice shape. No rips or split seams. The steering wheel is cracked, and some chrome is pitted, but otherwise the interior should clean up to a 9 out of 10! I did pull the seats and tried to clean the carpets (also photographed the floors). All glass is original, windows roll up and down great.
Sally did back into a pole in the 1990s (one of the few times she drove a mile to her friend's house as she got older). The bumper took most of the impact and I have both a brand new bumper and a nice used one (used has the aging). Some minor dents will need to be pulled to make the car perfect (see photo). Otherwise no major body damage to speak of.
This is a RARE opportunity to own a ONE OWNER 1967 Mustang with 25,000 original miles (you will be second owner on the title)! I have the original bill of sale, owners manual, misc. paperwork and EVERY registration since new!
I would love to get this Mustang back into tip top shape, but I just bought a commercial shop. Selling a few cars to offset.
