Car description

1936 Ford Tudor slantback sedan with 63,886 original miles. Appraised and insured for $24,500. I've had this car in my fleet for a few years and doesn't get driven enough, so I'm selling it. As far as I've been told by the former owners family and the display he put up at car shows that came along with the car (and will go along with the car to its next owner if they want it), this car is mostly original and unrestored with exclusion to the addition of modifications made in the interest of safety and driveability. The list of modifications made to the car includes: 12 volt electrical system conversion with an alternator, turn indicators front and rear, front fog lamps, rear seat belts (the former owner'a grandchildren loved to ride in grandpa's old car) and hydraulic drum brakes in place of the factory equipped mechanical ones. It starts, runs, drives and stops well for an old car. The paint has a few scratches and chips in it, as should be expected from being as old as it is. The interior is the factory mohair and shows very well. There is no rust on the body and very little on the chassis. The crank out windshield works, all four windows work correctly and the smokers window that slides the galas back a couple of inches instead of down works too. There are a few issues with the car:
-The oil pressure gauge is inoperable-The engine leaks a few spots on the ground after driving it sometimes-The wipers don't seem to work correctly (I actually don't know how the switches work as I never drive it in the rain)-The right front fog light is burnt out-The collar to the fuel tank filler leaks if more than 3/4 full (needs a new gasket)-Could probably use new springs since it sits a little low (I like the ride height, so I left it)- Could use a rear window seal
Other than that she's a pretty nice old cruiser to take out on a Sunday drive for ice cream or to a car show. I personally think this is a perfect candidate for an entire modern chassis and engine swap, but I don't have the heart to do it to the 'ol girl. Like they say, "They're only original once!". If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you for looking!
