1961 FORD FAIRLANE 500 TOWN SEDAN 36,000 ORIGINAL MILES VERY NICE

This auction is for an extremely nice survivor 1961 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Sedan. Original 292 V-8 with Automatic Transmission, 36,846 Original Miles! The color is Harvest Gold. Options are Power Steering, Four Way Power Seat, Factory Tinted Glass, Dealer Installed Air Conditioning when new (blows nice and cold), Dual Outside Mirrors, 2 Speed Wipers, Cloth / Vinyl Interior, Front Bumper Guards and Factory AM Radio. Does have an AM/FM Cassette under the dash in a console that can be easily removed if desired. The car was sold new in Colorado to an elderly lady. A year or so later she moved to New Mexico. Shortly after that she passed away and left the car to her nephew. At that time she had only put on a little over 21,000 miles. He titled it in New Mexico, put it in storage until it came to our area in 1989. The second owner had the car up until now. Only 36,846 miles now. The car has had 1 repaint of the original color. The body is straight as an arrow down both sides and absolutely rust free.Undercarriageis the same. Chrome work is in above average condition. A couple of the side trim moldings have some minor dings. Glass is all perfect. The windows roll up and down so easily. Doors shut with a click. The interior is close to perfect. There is one minor wear spot on the drivers side rubber floor mat as you get in. The car is like driving a brand new 1961 Ford! It steers like butter. Step on the gas and it is very responsive. I sell a lot of antique cars and this is by far one of the best ones I have driven. Everything works. Have original owners manual. The only thing I would do different is change the 205/14 inch Radials to a little bigger tire. You can drive this car anywhere! Perfect for the family, cruise nights or just go for a nice ride to get ice cream. As far as Im concerned its all about condition and this cars got it.
