Car description

1972 Gran Torino Sport with sport roof/fastback, All original! Purchased from auto brokerwhom purchased directly from the original owner. This originalGran Torino Sport was built in the Georgia factory when purchasedby the original owner, it spent the next 42 years in Colorado where they DO NOT use SALT. I purchased this one of a kind 1972 Gran Torino Sport Fastback in 12/2014 where it has sat inside my Massachusetts garage with plans of a total restoration. In preparation of the restoration I purchased a pair of fenders in great condition to avoid reworking the damaged drivers side fender and because original parts for this vehicle are getting hard to find since this vehicle was only in production for 1 year. I also have two front bumpers, the header running from fender to fender over the grill as well as both headlight assemblies complete, and a new OEM dashboard.

This car is solid, light rust on top of the fenders and truck lid where the sun baked the paint off but no rot whatsoever. Factory green with the laser stripes, green interior, bucket seats with the floor mounted shifter within the factory console. It starts, runs and drives although I trailered it back to Massachusetts. The front buckets need to be reupholstered as does the factory vinyl roof which was removed prior to my ownership, the rear seat is in great shape. This car may have been identical to the one used in Clint Eastwood's movie Gran Torino.

I had this identical car right out of High School in 1979 and had hopes to relive my youth but I have several other toys which prevent me the time necessary to complete this project so I have decided to sell this vehicle. I have the original build sheet from the factory in Georgia which was under the rear seat when purchased as well as the original CONSUMER INFORMATION TEST SHEET on this car with the V.I. # and performance specs from the factory - see pictures. I also have an open Title from the Original Owner making the purchaser technically the second owner as I purchased it from a broker and have only stored it - I never registered this vehicle. All my purchased parts are and will be included with the sale. Any questions or concerns will be answered as quickly as I can get to them -thanks for your time in reviewing my ad.
