***66 GALAXIE 390-300 3 SPEED MANUAL 86K MILES 3 OWNERS SURVIVOR CAR*** This is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with only 86,921 miles since new. There current owner is the third owner of the car - he is a buddy who asked me to list because he has too many cars. This Galaxie was purchased on August 1, 1966 at Barkhouser Motors in Danville Virginia by the first owner, a woman. Her name is in the owner's manual along with the warranty card pictured below. The car was purchased from the second owner by the current owner about a year and a half ago. The car has had one repaint in the original Arcadian Blue. The trim and chrome are original. The blue vinyl interior is original with the exception of new carpet. Engine is the 390 Z code with 300 horsepower. When the third owner bought the car the second owner had replaced the original valve covers and air cleaner with chrome ones. The second owner also replaced the mufflers. The engine fires right up and runs great. It has a new carburetor, fuel pump and fuel lines. The original carburetor goes with the sale of the car. Transmission is a three-speed manual - 3 on the tree. Car has manual steering and manual drum brakes. Except for the added chrome parts, carburetor and extra gauges this vehicle is pretty much original. It has new tires with one- inch white walls. Everything works properly on the car except the original AM radio does not play, nor does the original clock work. All lights, including the four way flashers and the glove box light work. Car runs and drives and rides great. It is a true survivor car that you can drive home. Email any question and if you'd like to set up a time to view the car email for the owner's phone number. Car is Arcadian Blue with blue interior It has all the Galaxie 500 trim - trim and chrome are original Tires are new thin white wall radials P225X70X15 Those are the original hub caps Grill is in great shape and note the hood ornament It has dual exhaust for the 390-300 four barrel engine A previous owner replaced the carpet - rest of interior is original - seat belts have the Ford oval on them There is a trio of Bosch gauges under the dash - they all work Original seat covers - car has some wear as you'd expect a car of this age You can hop in the driver's seat and drive it home Back seat Dash is in nice shape - I didn't see any cracks Note the knob for the rear speaker in the center of the package tray - a previous owner added a couple more speakers. AM radio doesn't work. Note how little wear there is on the pedals. Three speed shift on the column 86,921 miles since new - title pictured below states actual miles. Title and registration from second owner also stated actual miles. Auxiliary gauges are under dash near ash tray - dash trim is in great shape for its age Original sticker inside glove box with four way flasher and note the light from the glove box light Driver door panel Passenger door panel The engine is the famous 390 V-8. Previous owner added the chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Current owner replaced the carburetor. Engine runs great with no noises Nice simple one fan belt engine Brake cylinder and manual transmission levers Fan and radiator 600 CFM carburetor from Summit has electric choke and dual feed with vacuum secondaries. Original carburetor is pictured below. Underside of hood Trunk opens and closes properly Underside of trunk lid Original tire changing sticker Fender skirts were on the car at one time Spare and tire changing tools Driver side of the trunk Door plate - 6 is the year 1966, N is the assembly plant in Norfolk VA, 63B is the body 2-door hardtop, Z is the engine 8 Cyl. 390 CID Horsepower: 300 Carb: 157895 is the serial number, F is Arcadian Blue paint, 62 is the interior blue, 13D is day of build, DSO is 25 Richmond, VA, rear 1 is 3.00 rear, 1 is 3-speed manual transmission VIN on title matches VIN on door plate and is clear and ready to transfer to new owner. Note actual miles. Original owner's manual Warranty card matches VIN on title and door plate I blacked out the original owner's name and address on owner's manual Original carburetor Good looking grill - chrome and trim have aged Hood opens and closes properly Driver front fender with 390 emblem All glass is good Doors open and shut easily Body is straight with some blems and aging I think the center speaker is original and the other two were added by previous owner Galaxie 500 trim This is the only real bad place on the body - looks like previous owner patched this Deck lid Taillights Back-up lights work when car is put in reverse There is a ding in the trunk lid that is hard to see Passenger rear quarter panel with Galaxie 500 trim New tires, original hub caps Side glass has stainless trim around it Note rocker trim There are a couple of dings in the passenger door trim If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it.
