Car description |
---|
Early 1928 Model A Roadster. Canadian Built.
Engine Built at Ford Ontario with serial number CA9606Car assembled in Winnipeg Manitoba, Body Number W232 (Very early Canadian production).
4 owner car from new. Have entire history and documented. I have a picture of each owner of the car with the car (old photos).
The original Owner bought the car in Foam Lake Saskatchewan. He did not drive and had the car delivered at a total cost of $650. He owned the car until 1961and sold it to a car collector in the same town who had it until 1978.
The car still has its original dealer installed spare tire carrier. Also the spare tire is the original Canadian Stamped Goodyear, never off the rim.
The car was last shown in 1996 at the Model A Ford Club of America's Nation Convention in Ontario Canada. It won an "Award of Excellence" First Place in White Ribbon (original) Judging. It scored a very respectable 424 Points. I am told it would score higher today.
I have all the documentation, awards the car has won and photos, including a Canadian Newspaper article that the car was featured in. All will be included with the car as they go to the cars history.
The car is totally original with all its original parts (except battery and tires). Also spark plugs are champion but not "Canadian champion". All else is correct for the car as it came, including original side curtains and Canadian tools.
The car runs and drives as you would expect a low mileage car to drive. It scored very high for mechanicals when judged and has been maintained to that standard. Driven only to keep it in good condition and miles low.
A great many of its miles were driven on one trip with the "Saskatoon Antique Car Club" in 1967. It was driven cross country. I still have the sign that was hung on the back of the car.
The car has all its original mechanicals like early Powerhouse Generator, Correct Carb, Liertally everything is as it came from the factory. As are all fabrics.
I will only ship the car in an enclosed carrier, PERIOD.
I can hold for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made. I have clear CA title. I have CA 1928 Plates as well as Canadian Plates for 1928.
This car is Museum Quality.
I have a link to many more detailed photos I can send to serious buyers.
