ALSO, AS OF 1/13/17, NEW TO THIS AD IS THE CORRECT MOTOR FOR THIS CAR. lT IS A 1940 FORD FLATHEAD V8, AND IT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, ALONG WITH THE ONE THAT IS IN THE CAR.1940 Ford Woodie, unmolested survivor. Car has been stored inside in Southern California, and comes with a clear California title. The wood is original, and in very good older restoration condition. I've detected a small rust area,(pictured), in the front floor on the driver's side,(typical), but no other rust in the floors, or rust repairs, or accidents. This is a VERY SOLID CAR. The sheet metal and frame are excellent. The interior and roof were done some years ago, and the entire car has a really neat matching patina. The cars engine was taken apart, and the cylinder heads,oil pan, intake manifold/carb, 2 pistons/rods,one valve, and one adjustable lifter are missing.But it is not a 1940 Ford Motor anyway, it's a 1946 Ford 59A V8. It needs a complete brake job, and wiring.The transmission is a column shift 3 speed (1st year for column shift), and the rear end has 3.78 gears.
