Car description

Description:
Very good driver quality 1966 Ford Mustang with 289 V8 with 3 speed, C4 automatic transmission. No major work is required and it is structurally solid. I have owned the car since 2007 buthave many of the receipts for work over last 13 years. Previous owner had the engine and C4 automatic transmission rebuilt in 2003 at around 122,500 miles at a Mustang specialist in Colorado. There isn't any rust on the frame, undercarriage, or body panels. This was a Colorado car until recently and has always been garaged. The interior is in great shape.
New wheels and tires at 132,700 miles. Installed fire break between the rear seat and the gas tank and 3 point seat belts in the front for improved safety. Have the factory air conditioner and the compressor but it isn't installed and I can't say if it works or not.
Known issues:
  • The power steering cylinder leaks a small amount of fluid over time. I just check it and add fluid periodically.
  • It has a 2 barrel Holley carburetor (not the original Autolite) that works fine. The previous owner had this carb on the car when I got it. It has not been professionally adjusted to sea-level from when it was in Colorado at 8500 feet and it hesitates a bit and can stall if you stomp on the gas pedal.
  • There are a few nicks in the paint and a couple of very minor dings (left front of hood and passenger front fender).

Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Feel free to contact Doug at (719) 338-0245. If you need more pictures to show any of the flaws I will send upon request. I've tried to describe the car as accurately as possible. If you have any questions about the condition, quality, or anything else please contact me prior to purchasing so I can answer you promptly and the best I can. Please DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE. If you have zero and or negative feed back contact me prior to bidding. Otherwise, I reserve the right to cancel your bid.
