1931Ford Model A Pickup
This is a great foundation for your next project – complete enough to restore or a great candidate for a cool street rod/hotrod/rat rod project – and is sure to be one of those “barn find” stories you read about in a magazine. It is my intent to describe the condition of this pickup in as great detail as possible, but I encourage you to look at each of the photos and feel welcome to ask as many questions as you would like either via the eBay message board or by calling me (Chad) at (406)403-6921. This pickup does not have a title, but a notarized Bill of Sale on official Montana Motor Vehicle Department form will be given.
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/REAR END: The running gear of this pickup is the original Ford Model A running gear and will run and drive. As you can see from the photo, the engine compartment is complete and lacking very little if anything. The transmission shifts and the rear end turns well. The brakes are original mechanical brakes and should be gone through before driving the truck extensively.
BODY/SHEET METAL: The cab is the greatest concern on this pickup as it is in need of some sheet metal repair – cab corners, door bottoms and cowl sides are in need of patch panels. The fenders, splash aprons, running boards are all solid and in good condition. The front radiator splash apron is missing. The box is in good condition needing only minor repair and a wood kit. We at Montana Vintage Tin, LLC are Authorized Dealers for Brookville Roadster, Inc. and can supply all the needed replacement sheet metal, parts and bed wood in a separate purchase. The structural wood in this truck is sound and the cab is very complete. The hood is included and is in nice condition. The visor, although not on the truck, is pictured separately and included.
INTERIOR: Even though there is not much to the interior of these trucks, this one is very complete including the seat frame, seat springs, gauge cluster, etc. As I mentioned, the structural wood in this truck is very sound, but the top wood is in need of repair if you intend on replacing the fabric top insert. The floors of the cab are very solid. The front floor is made of the original wood, but a steel front floor (18 gauge sheet metal) is available for purchase along with a recessed fire wall if desired.
Again, this truck has no title, but a notarized Bill of Sale will be provided to the buyer. This truck is being sold in “as-is, where-is” condition and no warranty/guarantee, written or implied, exists with this vehicle. A $500.00 deposit is required at the time of purchase with payment in full required before the vehicle is released for transport. Transportation costs are covered by the seller within the lower 48 United States and within a 2000 mile radius of vehicle location. Transportation will be via a carrier of the seller's choosing. Please contact Chad at Montana Vintage Tin, LLC at (406)403-6921 to provide logistics details.Acceptable methods of payment include cash, certified check, PayPal or major credit card. An additional 3.5% convenience fee applies to all transactions conducted via PayPal or credit card.
