Car description |

This is a 78 Bronco that I have spent the last four years rebuilding. Every area of this Bronco has been rebuilt, replace, serviced, or inspected. I have spent over $21,000 and have almost every receipt including the major expenses. The engine is a 429 that is a reman from Jasper engines with about 12,000 miles on the rebuild. I used L&L Products for the engine mounts, brackets, pulleys, and headers. It has an Edelbrock Performer intake and an Edelbrock 650cfm 4 barrel carb. An upgraded 3G alternator has been installed. The exhaust is 2.5" true duals with an X pipe and two Magnaflow mufflers. The transmission has less than 100 miles on it and is a rollerized C6 with a B&M shift kit, Red Eagle clutches, new torque convertor, external transmission cooler and filter built by Cates Transmission in Texarkana, TX. The transfer case is a NP205 and has new fluid, shifts fine. The suspension system is new. It consist of new shocks and Deaver springs sold by Jeff's Bronco Graveyard as the Super Flex line. They are 4" coils in the front a leaf in the rear. This is an excellent riding suspension and extremely smooth to drive. The radius arm drop brackets have been installed to improve caster and it drives straight at 70 mph. I can take my hands off the wheel on the Interstate and it stays true and is a pleasure to drive. The tires are 35x12.50x17 Cooper Discoverer STTs with about 95% tread and less than 100 miles on 17x9 Dick Cepek Gun Metal 7 wheels. Also included is a 5th spare that matches the other four. The steering box has been rebuilt and the power steering lines are new. A drop pitman arm was added to the steering to realign the steering to proper geometry due to the system lift. Both front and rear axles have been completely rebuilt with all new bearings and seals with less than 100 miles. They have4:11gears with a Power Lock limited slip from Tom's Bronco in the front and factory Trac-Loc in the rear with 31 spline shafts. The front and rear brake lines have been replaced with extended brakes lines from Wild Horses 4x4 and the hard lines on the axles. The brake booster and master cylinder are the larger upgraded F-350 units that increase braking power. The rear drive shaft is new and there is no front drive shaft, I never got around to getting one made and I don't take this truck off-road. A new wiring harness has been professionally installed by Jak's Restoration in Greenbrier, Arkansas made by American Autowire. It includes under dash lighting that comes on when the doors are opened. The interior has been Raptor lined and so has the top. New body bushings were also installed by Jak's Restoration. The front bumper is made by ProtoFab in Arizona and I have $1,000 in it alone after purchase, shipping, and powder coating. New plastic fuel tank, sending unit, and hoses. Comes with an extra steel factory tank with new sending unit if you prefer the factory tank.
This is a very clean, almost completely rust free Bronco that I would drive from Dallas to Little Rock in without problem. This rebuild has been my pride and joy the last four years and I went the extra mile and overkill in some areas.
