Car description

This bright red 1967 Ford Mustang convertible is the very definition of summertime fun. With a great color combination, spotless interior, strong-running 289, and the promise of adventure, it makes for one of the world's great motoring pleasures and a car not to be missed.Recently painted, this bright red pony looks good from any angle. They probably started with a clean, straight car because the gaps are great and three's none of the irregular fit that you get on a Mustang that's lived a hard life. The finish has a nice shine that will get attention out on the road, and if you're into shows, a professional cut and buff would really make it sparkle. It wasn't dressed up like a Shelby or a fake GT or something like that, and we appreciate the honesty because this car looks good from any angle. Details are correct, from the running pony in the "corral" up front to the Mustang emblems on the front fenders, to the scoops in the quarter panels, so nobody's going to mistake this for anything else. Bright bumpers appear to be freshly chromed or very nice replacement pieces and classic 3-element taillights make it easy to identify from behind. If you can't spot a vintage Mustang at 50 yards, you're just not an old car fan. The handsome Parchment bucket seat interior is a wonderful contrast to the vivid red paint, and gives the Mustang a classic combination that will always look good. The standard buckets were reupholstered and the bright vinyl upholstery is so clean that you'll probably want to wear a clean suit before you climb in. Door panels look almost new and the carpets are in good shape without having that faded look that happens in some convertibles. A 3-spoke steering wheel incorporates the new-for-67 horn button designed to keep the steering column from impaling you (thanks, Ford!) and there's a modern AM/FM stereo radio in the center of the dash with speakers in the kick panels. The shifter for the automatic transmission sits right there on the top of the transmission tunnel, which gives the interior a simple, honest look, and the gauges are in good shape, probably original. The tan convertible top is newer and offers a sophisticated look that works with the rest of the car, and the trunk includes a color-matched full-sized spare tire. The C-code 289 cubic inch V8 is a strong runner with a torquey demeanor that makes this Mustang a blast to run through the gears. With what appears to be original Ford Blue paint still on the block, it looks the way it might have in, say, 1970: well-maintained but not sparkling clean. It would be easy enough to detail it over a weekend and really make it shine, and you won't think twice about hitting the road with it the way it is today. You'll also be happy to see that this car has been upgraded with a modern power rack-and-pinion steering system, which makes a huge difference in the way it feels going down the road. There's a great-sounding dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers and chrome tips just below the rear bumper, and it sounds like a flashy Mustang should. Color-matched steel wheels with stock hubcaps give it a unique look that doesn't stray too far from original, and it sits on a set of whitewall radials that are the right choice.Affordably priced, this convertible has the look and feel that you've been looking for in this summer's toy.
