Used, estored 1976 Ford Torino with "Starsky & Hutch" paint scheme. This car did not come from the factory as a Starsky & Hutch car; it is a "clone." The car has appeared at local car shows and parades, nd attracts lots of attention whenever it is driven. The usual comments are "nice car," or "hey, tarsky & Hutch!" The Torino is a lot of fun to drive and is fairly quick for street-driven car its size. However, t weighs about 4,400 pounds, nd by today's standards, as very bad fuel economy. The car was professionally appraised last year, nd received an overall condition rating of "Sound" (good). I will include a copy of the detailed appraisal report with the car. It would be difficult to find a buyer who truly appreciates the value of this car, o I expect to sell the car for less than its appraised value, hich is also less than the amount I have invested in the car. I am selling this car because I have more cars than I need right now. This Torino went through a frame-off restoration and modification (resto/mod) about eight years ago. The car has been driven less than 8,000 miles since the resto/mod work was completed. I did nearly all of the restoration and modification work myself, o I am very familiar with the car. Emissions CompliancePlease note that this car was originally equipped with a catalytic converter and other emissions control equipment. It does not presently have a catalytic converter, nd would probably not pass emissions testing. Here in Florida, e don't do emissions testing. Because the car is technically not emissions legal, t is "for off-road use only." It would be possible to install a catalytic converter and tune the car to pass emissions testing. However, his would be at your expense, nd is not included with this auction.Known Defects/Issues
- There are several areas where the paint has been touched up.
- There is a scratch on the rear bumper that has been covered with silver paint.
- The paint and bodywork on the car were done more than eight years ago. There are now several areas, .g., elow the rear window, n the trunk, nd near the left rear wheel opening, here there are small rust spots.
- The car was originally equipped with A/C, ut the compressor, ondenser, XV, nd other parts are not presently installed on the car, o the A/C is not functional. I do have some used parts for the A/C system that I will include with the car, ut I have not checked/tested the parts, o they would be transferred to the winning bidder as is.
- Please understand that this car is 40 years old, nd it is not perfect, ut it is in great condition considering its age!
