For all of you ad watchers, his is the very last opportunity you'll have to buy this really cool van. Guys, t's a serious p***y magnet. If it doesn't sell by the end of the year, 'll strip it for parts. It's a 1962 Ford Econoline panel van. Only 11 were made that year. For me, t juststarted out as a goofy thing that escalated into a huge restoration of sorts. I can't even begin to describe all of the things I've done to this van. It serves to say that almost every mechanical thing on it has been rebuilt or upgraded, r new, ll within the last 14,000 miles. Here's a partial list:New Radiator, oses, elt, lectric fan, nd water pump.Rebuilt heater and heater core.Professionally rebuilt C-4 automatic transmission, new 9' traction lock posi rear differential, nd drive shaft.New spring bushings, nd a front sway bar installed with new end links and urethane bushings, new king pins and bushings.Complete front disc brake conversion (not cheap).** I also had a professional build a totally bad-ass 250ci inline six-cylinder for it, hough I never installed it. It's currently got a well-used 250 that does use some oil. It was only intended as a temporary engine. I figure most people would prefer a small block V-8 though. The new engine is not included in the sale, ut can be added. The list goes on and on. Basically, hatever could be rebuilt, as rebuilt. Everything I touched. Every bushing, earing, nd bolt. I have receipts for EVERYTHING! About $12,000 total invested.I'll sell the van "as-is", ithout the new engine. That still puts my investment at well over $7,600, o I'm asking $5,000 to start.I'll also sell the new engine separately. Contact me to make a deal. The true value of this van is in the mechanical condition. This deal iskind of like selling a bag of $8000 in cash for half price. Reserve price is solid. On Nov-12-15 at 21:53:55 PST, eller added the following information:
The new engine can be included for an additional $3000. That's firm, o no negotiating. The interior is not worth picturing. It's an empty cargo van except for a bed in the back used for camping. The value of this van is primarily in the mechanical aspect. The cosmetic is up to the new owner.
