1974 Ford Econoline 200 SuperVan. 1 owner 62k mi. Smooth running 302 and perfect shifting auto trans. This survivor was an over maintained auto parts delivery van and when the original owner retired and closed the store, he loaded a bunch of parts for the van which come with the vehicle. There are rotors, exhaust parts, filters, hoses and more. When not being used it was parked indoors. It runs and drives beautifully, coming off a complete mechanical check and having just completed a 2 hour drive including city and highway driving. All lights and signals work, as does the Philco AM radio, wipers and cigarette lighter! The original spare tire appears to have never been removed.
The body is in pretty good original condition. It is still wearing it's original paint and there are some obvious rust issues, the worst being the driver's side bottom. Apart from that the other issues are some bubbling, all in all not bad for 44 years old. The floors and underside are in great condition. There are no major dents, and it appears the owner took some steps to protect it from rusting. All doors operate fine, windows have no damage apart from one small rock chip on the windshield.
The only issues mechanically are that the fuel gauge does not work, all other gauges do. The drivers side door locking mechanism needs adjustment, it does not lock and I didn't want to force it. The doghouse for the engine is in great shape, I just don't show it in the pics.
All in all, this is a tremendous oppurtunity. Having restored an old hippie van, I understand what a wonderful blank canvas this will be for someone. The drivetrain is great and the bones are solid. It drives fantastic for being 44 years old. You won't find a better candidate for a fun project!
