SPARK'S TRICKED OUT TUDOR
1929 Ford Model A Two Door Sedan.
This Rod is powered by a 425-450 hp GM 383 Stroker Engine (built by Bad Rat Performance Engines in High Ridge, O) T56 Transmission (provided by American Powertrain) and Ford Nine inch rear end.
This near perfect 1929 original body sits on a custom stretched TCI chassis (modified and stretched by Sparks Speed Shop). The chassis has independent front suspension and a parallel four link in the rear with coil overs at all four corners, illwood polished four wheel disc brakes, olished sway bars, rame mounted brake and hydraulic clutch master cylinders, anual rack and pinion steering, tainless brake lines, nd a slick coat of gloss black paint. 15" powder coated steel wheels (powder coating done by Tim Stahlhut) with spider caps and Cocker classic white wall tires (165R15 front & P225/75R15 rear) are what keeps this Rod rolling.
The body was set back on the frame an additional 1" to align everything perfectly. Custom made bead rolled floor pans, eat frames and numerous brackets and mounting plates were fabricated and installed by the crew at Sparks Speed Shop. The car also was fitted with a 32 ford grill shell and custom made grill insert (made by Jim Wrench), 2 style dash with a six gauge so cal gauge panel and auto meter gauges. The custom metal bomber seats were made by James Timberlake of East Coast Metalworks (Cocoa, L). We decided to keep the original style black vinyl top and no chop top for this car. The body was blocked down to assure it was straight and then primed and painted gloss black and wet sanded and buffed to perfection by Ty Johnson. Then pinstriped by Jason Sprengel of Sprengel's Innovative Customs to finish it off.
The engine was very meticulously assembled and dressed with just about every ribbed or finned piece we could find and/or make. It was also assembled with billet specialties tru trac serpentine belt kit, illet overflow tank, ri power edelbrock 94 carbs with progressive linkage, icks hot rod carbs fuel rail and polished lines, SD ignition cool flex hoses, anderson headers, nd a radiator fan combo from Portells Radiators.
The car was assembled for mock up in a bare finish. Then disassembled and sent out for paint and powder coating and very carefully reassembled and finished. The car was very neatly wired with a haywire wiring harness, nd sports 32 commercial head lights, 9 Lincoln Taillights and custom billet license plates holder with light.
The interior was started by Jim Wyrick (who I bought the sedan from original for a stater car) and finished by Queen Slater Auto Upholstry.
It is very tastefully done and made a really bitchin highboy style hot rod that can be driven and showed just about anywhere.
Special thanks to all the people that helped on this project, he guys at Sparks Speed Shop (cause without them it would be hard to build something this nice), y parents and friends for believing in me and supporting me, nd my wife and kids for putting up with all the hours I put into these car and the sleepless night thinking about things.
