1953 Ford Customline 4 door sedan. Clear Florida title. No Reserve. Last year for the iconic Ford flathead V8. The engine runs really well. Absolutely no smoke is emitted when starting or driving the car. Excellent oil pressure. No overheating problems. Shifts smoothly with no transmission or rear end noises. Rare overdrive option. Speedometer needle not working, ut odometer works showing 18,000+ miles (actual mileage unknown). Matched set of Uniroyal radial tires with excellent tread. The car tracks good and there is no shimmy or pulling when driving or braking. Gas tank and muffler look to be recently replaced along with ignition parts, rakes lines, aster cylinder and brake wheel cylinders, oses & belts and the 6 volt battery. Generator works fine. Ammeter, uel and temperature gauges work. Oil pressure has a new gauge installed. Some rust issues (check out the pictures), ut the frame and floor pans and structural areas look good and solid. I believe this has been a a Florida car forever and it appears to me any rust problems are confined to surface metal only. The body seems straight with no indication of any accidents or body damage. Doors open & close with no sagging or or indication of rust on the door posts. All windows roll up and down OK. The windshield is good and there are no glass problems other than some minor age discoloration. Wipers & horn work. I did not get a history for this car other than the previous owner was told by the dealer he bought it from that it was a locally owned Florida car, in good running condition, nd was painted with the black 'Rat Rod' look for participation in local cruise-ins and car shows. According to the title, he person I bought the car from owned the car for about 8 months, nd the owner previous titled it 8 years ago. The seats were redone in vinyl at sometime in the past and are in excellent condition. The rest of the interior is marginal and the headliner has been removed. Lots of original parts like trim pieces, he hubcaps and the oil bath engine air cleaner. Please call me at 850 276-6243 with any questions you might have. Currently the car is in dry storage in the Panama City, lorida area and can be seen for inspection. This is an excellent running, nique and interesting 62 year old car you can drive right now. It would be an ideal car for future restoration, r utilizing the good original drivetrain and parts to complete a restoration project on another car.
