This is a rare, eavily optioned car. It is now being re-listed as an auction, ith a reserve price that is far below the value of the value of the car. Any sincere bidding will pass that mark.Original factory options include: Air Conditioning, ower Windows, ower Door Locks, ower Drivers Seat, nd Cruise Control. It is hard to believe that there was actual cruise control in 1964. All cruise control parts are present, ome are NOS.This car has been extensively restored, arage kept and driven only occasionally. The amount of money invested in this car so far would allow me to buy it three times over, o this is a wonderful opportunity for the Thunderbird fan.The car is painted in stunning medium Blue Metallic paint, xcellent attention to detail is evident in often overlooked places like the door jambs. A fiberglass tonneau cover was added and painted to match. Thecar is it's own rolling car show.New interior including carpet and door panels, orrect Ford white color tone. The rubber seals were replaced all around the vehicle including hood, oors, onvertible top, nd trunk. The trunk lining pads and boards were all replaced. The steering wheel is not cracked, nd has a wrap for comfort reasons. The convertible top frame was repainted, new pads and correct top, new lines, ylinders, witches, nd relays. NOS parts used when available. A secondary switch for the top mechanism was added under the fuel door, o allow for raising and lowering the deck lid and top while standing at the rear deck. The attention to detail is self evident. Here is a link to a video showing the convertible top mechanism in action and a walk around of the car. You can see how the clouds and sky reflect in the paint.http://youtu.be/HmAIxOG56BoThe bumpers were re-chromed, tainless steel moldings polished, ll new or NOS emblems and brightwork. Several dash and console pieces also re-chromed as well. The grill bars on these cars are usually dinged or bent, nd are hard to refinish. I was able to find a NOS replacement grill, hich looks outstanding! In 1966, ord added the 345 horsepower 428 engine as an option. That sounded like a great idea, o the original 390 was replaced with a strong running stock Ford 428 Police Interceptor (same engine used for the Shelby GT 500) with the original factory aluminum intake manifold (1967 date code). The heads were completely reworked, ut the bottom end of the engine was not opened, s it was running well. It has the correct factory TBird exhaust manifolds. In order to allow for the unvented factory Thunderbird script valve covers, he oil fill is located at the rear of the intake manifold, ehind the air cleaner. The engine compartment was taken to bare metal, aint matched, nd is very clean and detailed. The original Thunderbird air cleaner and valve covers were chrome plated. The Factory AC compressor was replaced with a newer style unit, he alternator is a high amperage unit and is chrome plated as well. Other under-hood parts and supports are painted gloss black. A battery disconnect was added since the car is not driven frequently. The better accommodate the 428 engine, he cruise-o-matic transmission was replaced with an NOS Ford C6 unit, hich while unused, as opened and overhauled. It shifts smoothly and quietly. The rear end gears are still 3:00, s from the factory. The engine has a nice low rumble through new dual exhausts with resonators and full size mufflers. Where you notice the difference in horsepower is when you are accelerating on to a roadway, rying to get all 4400 pounds up to cruising speed. The car drives smooth and tight, nd handles well. The factory drum brakes were changed to 4-Wheel Disc which work great. The good-looking new master cylinder can be seen under the hood. To increase stability and drivability, nbsp;a custom rear anti-sway bar was added. The front anti-sway bar was replaced with a larger one. The gas tank is new along with the fuel lines. The factory convertible-specific underbody support braces are still present. The rear axle and differential were powder coated black, s were all four wheels. The undercarriage is clean and has factory correct undercoating. The power retractable antenna was an option starting in 1965. A 1965 power antenna and correct under dash console were added. The car came with only front seat belts, ut correct rear seat belts were added. There was a drivers side rear view mirror, nd a NOS passenger side mirror was added. The power window switches and motors were replaced.Numerous photos are included to show the condition, nd a link to a video is posted as well. The power windows go up and down, he blinkers work (including the indicators on the front fenders which are NOS). All driving lights work: headlights, rakes and reverse (NOS). Interior lights work : door, ap, lashers. Horn, peedometer, ower antenna, indshield wipers, oor locks, loor vents, adio, re all functional. Heater and blower motor work. The AC compressor and condenser were replaced, ut the system has not been charged recently. The windshield washer pump is new and the reservoir bag is correct, ut it is kept dry.The clock is rebuilt and functional, ut the fuse to it was disconnected recently. Something was draining the battery, nd after some detective work, he culprit was identified as the relay to the clock. The cruise control is all present and worked in a road-test prior to the engine being replaced. Currently all parts are in place but I have not tried it since. There are a few small scratches and chips, onsistent with mild usage.
