The history of this mustang: In 1987 a man bought this car for his son brand newfrom Jim Burke Fordhere in Bakersfield, A.His son was proud of his new car and took excellent care of it. He drove it for about two years and put around 20,000 miles on it. At this time he was deployed to Desert Storm. His father said he would take care of his car like it was his own. He drove it and by 1992 he had put about another 24,000 miles on it. However, he son was killed in Desert Storm in late1991. The father could not bearto drive or see the car much longer so hestored it in a climate control storage facility here in Bakersfield, Aand had it up on jack stands. Being the car nut he was and loving memory of his son he would go and start the car once a month. He even had it register up until 1996 thinking he would be able to drive it again. But it got harder and harder for him to continue going to start itdue to getting old. After many years it became months at a time then in 2010 he quit going altogether. He quit paying for the storage unit and it went up for auction beginning of2015. This is when I purchased it.

I had the car towed home from the storage facility. The things I have done to the vehicle: oil change with Mobil OneSynthetic, ir filter, radiatorflush with fluid, park plugs (still has the original wires with numbers),seriatimbelt, C fluids, transmitionfluid, rakes all around, attery, as tank, fuelfilters through out, emblemsall around, eadlights, ires (still has original spare with all original stickers, lso when I took it down to have new tires put on the guy said the tires were the original gators that came on the car and was 100% sure it was the original air in the tires from when it was purchased, lso in the trunkI found the original lock nut key for the wheels and the plastic was not cut on it so that means it was never used.), new shocks and struts in front. I had the AC redone and it works great and blows ice cold.I had a $2,200 paint job put on it. They stripped it down to bare metal and then premiered it and painted it the original factory color(since paint is new they recommend a 60 day hot polish on it. A hot polish is where it heats the paintand makes it look much better.People don't realize this process and all paint jobs have to have it. The buyer will beresponsiblefor having the hotpolish done professionally. Also my paint guy said the clear coat was in the paint up until the early 90's so he did it just as if the factory was painting it. The clear coat is in the paint.).When I changed out all the fluids I did not change out the rear-end fluid. So whoever buys the car might want to change it out. However, the rear-endstill has the original tag on it from when it was new.The motor is a police interceptorhigh outputmotor. All the lights work and even the cruise control works on it. It holds excellent oil pressure. After I put all the new stuff on the car that I mentioned the car started up with no problems and when I took it down to pass smog it past with no problems. Even the people there were surprised it pasted on the 1sttry after setting so long. You will be hard press to find another mustang thiscleanunrestored. I have looked high and low to match any other car and cannot find one as clean as this one that has not been restored and I have looked hard. I can't say enough about this car.Even my 2005 Tahoe is dirtier and has some rust on it so to me an 86 has none of that is very impressive. I think it has to do with the climate control it was stored in.

I am going to put this as a 1 owner because I have only owned it a very short time and only put a few hundred miles on it. When theman I mentioned sonowned it since the beginning of the car's life. The car was built at the Dearborn Michigan factory and brought here to Bakersfield California to sell. So it has been hereitswhole life span with no salt on the roads. It has all the original glassand no other new items expect what I mentioned. So for a 1986 with everything else original from the factory is pretty impressive. With the proof of miles the title says on it "Original Mile" on it and the car fax shows last time inspection in 1992 themileagewas at 41,894. He musthavedriven it a little bit more and then stored it. So that tells you it is original miles. In state of California when you get any type of service done they take the miles and input into system so it would have showed up on the car fax.Plus I talked to the father of the son that owned the car. This makes it a solid 100% guarantee that the mileage is correct.

I think ifyou'relooking for a clean one of these cars this is your last chance. This car is freaking clean!!!It isanunrestored beauty that looks like some of the restoredone'sgoing for $15,000-20,000. Notchbacks are so hard to find. I think they call them 4 eye mustangs. I would love to keep the car but need the money. Since I have had the car I put about 400 miles on it. I am going on 50 years old and the only one that drives this carand I drive itvery easy. I have gotten on it a few times just to see what it has. Trust me it has plenty get up and go and shifts very smoothly. Again Icannotsay enough aboutthis beauty. It is a time Capsule.Car has clean title in my name, omes with car fax, mog certificate, nd all other receipts I have. I also have some items that came in the car. A pair of 80's glasses, bag phone that still works, nd the original license plates. I took a pic of several items so you can see it. They will come with the car.I also found a blue and red light connected to a metal piece in the trunk. Theymountin the back window on the driver side and they work. I didn'tmountthem because Ididn't thinktheylooked good.Don't know what's up with thelight that isweird.Mightbe cop lights. Pretty sure it wasn't cop car because of the size but don't know. There is also anantennain thetrunk.Itprobably goesto the CB in the car. I did hook the CB up and it sounds weird not like a regular CB. It has squeaking noise and chattering and other noises not sure if it's really a CB or a two way radio of some type. There is a pic where someone cut the carpet behind driver set. I'm not sure why. I lifted it up and it looks brand new under the carpet. When I crawled under the car to take pics I noticed there was a lot of original stickers and marks from the factory.

What car needs to make it perfect in my eyes: heater does not blow hot (but AC blows ice cold), peed odometersqueaksa little, round the driver andpassenger windowthe rubber is cracking, ash has 2 small cracks, assette deck sometimes works sometimes don'tbut radio works, mall denton top of car on driver sidefrom tree branch in my driveway estimate $100-150 from body shop.

We have shipping companies here that have decant prices. I had a Volkswagen shipped from here to Lynn MA for $1,200. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping.

This is a 7 day auction. Please if you have any questions please ask them before end of auction. Only serious buyer bid. If you do not have the money please do not place a bid.If you have zero feedback please contact me before biding.

You will not regret this purchase. When I am driving this car Iget so many thumbs up and looks it is crazy. I pull into a gas station to get gas and it takes me 30 minutes to get out of there because people want to talk to me about it. Young and old loves it.
