Car description

1969 Mach1 351W motor, uto trans, purchased this car from the original owner, e was in his late 70's and he reported that the mileage at 62k was original as was the engine and trans, his info has not been confirmed, ut I had no reason not to believe him and he seemed sincere, ither way I didn't care I wanted the car because it was in very decent unmolested condition. You can just tell that the way everything lines up on the car that's its not all beat up and miss aligned. Anyhow the owner also reported that while cleaning the car and wiping down the interior he split the rear seam open on the head liner, purchased a new on from Mustangs Unlimited but have not installed it, t go's with the car. Further more the previous owner reported he kept it in the garage most all the time but used it and if it rained he didn't care he would keep driving it. It is not all rusted out but at some point he had the lower quarters done and re painted the car to the original red color about 15 years ago, ow there is some bubbling on the lower doors, ut that seems to be the only area,he said he had it done by a body shop that the Ford dealer used for they're work as he did all the maintenance to the car by the dealer, gain, ho cares! I looked at it and it was in very decent shape and my son and I were going to swap out the small block and do a 390 or 428 car and paint it Blue. Well I drove the car around here and there, t starts, rives, rakes and runs very good, ow it's been sitting in the garage a couple of years and nothing has been done with it. I would still keep it as I am retired and want to make it as Iplanned to, ut now we are moving and the house go's on the market this Monday and I am leaving the state and cant take it with me. The car has an after market 4 barrel carb and intake with an electronic distributor, have all the original parts, arb, ntake, nd distributor and even the original radiator, hich was redone by a local radiator shop. It also has the original Rim blow horn that works, here was a new gas tank and sending unit installed as did a new dual exhaust, t is not mint, t is in my opinion very decent original unmolested condition. I have a low reserve in my opinion especially after seeing what many of these cars are going for and in need of much more work, ho ever gets this car will have asolid foundation to make a nice original restore or a nice mod project. If anyone would like to discuss anything about the car they can call me at 732 500 8120, do reserve the right to end the auction at any time, s I do have it listed locally and have other interested parties. Thank you, ohn

On Aug-01-15 at 06:15:55 PDT, eller added the following information:

Quite a few people have been calling, hank you for all the interest, ust to add a few things, he rims and tires are not original, hey are reproduction and very and nice to the tune of $1500, hey are 15" Magnum 500 style, hey are about 2 years old with at best 25 miles on them they are for all practical purposes brand new and look it. The rear gas door and latch are also new, have the original that's not in bad shape who ever wins the auction can have it as well, he car does have power front disc brakes and power steering, he car is in a secure climate controlled garage and out of the element, also do not show a reserve option and many people have called to ask how much? I am not asking for a lot as compared to what most 1969 Mach1's are being advertised at and being asked for, s long as the auction reaches 20k I will let it play out till the end, opingto get around 22k, f not then anything between 20 and 22 is all I can say, hope that answers some questions and I can save a few people the time of reaching out, t's worth much more in my opinion but there are a few out there, nd of course if someone calls and offers close to my 22k or the offer comes in by way of other advertising then I will remove the add and end auction early, h! a couple people asked if the rim blow horn works, t does I have stated that in the narrative descriptionportion of the add thanks again and happy bidding, ohn
