Car description |
---|
The car had been sitting in a garage for 13 years before i purchased it. I have looked over everything mechanically and it all looks good. Besides what you would expect from a car that has been sitting for that long. would love to be able to keep it but don't have the time or money right now to handle it.
As far as the condition of the car right not it does run but does not drive. Ive gotten a bit of work done on it but like i said i just don't have the time to get it done. I replaced the spark plugs, engine and trans oil, checked valve clearances, swapped out the old gas, and got it to start. the timing is off and it will not run below 2000 rpms which i believe is a fueling issue. I already have the new fuel pump and filter as well as a timing belt ready to go in and will come with the car. It isn't going to need a whole lot to drive either. Once those parts are in you will jut need to set the idle and ignition timing and the engine should run fine. Then its just swapping out the rest of the fluids and maybe couple suspension parts and re-greasing the brakes and bleeding them and you're good to go. There is almost no rust on it and it is all still quite clean. All the buttons still work and the soft top is still in good condition as well. It may to be treated to have it be waterproof though, I haven't tested it. The clutch still goes in well and it will shift through all the gears with surprising ease.
I really do wish i could keep it cause it is a cool little car. It is also a really good investment cause these will only increase in value. Especially once its is driving and gets cleaned up a bit. I do have a car cover and also the shop manual that will come with it as well. All reasonable offers will be considered and I am negotiable with the price. As long as it goes to a good home. If you have any questions or want any more info on the car just let me know and I will do my best to get it to you.
