1973 Fiat 850 Spider. Close to Collectible Condition, o Rust!!
Four-cylinder, ater-cooled, ongitudinal rear-mounted engine with transaxle. Handsome Bertone styled 1973 850 Spider. The 850 models is quite lively and gas mileage averages around 35 mpg. Production was sufficiently large that mechanical spares present few serious problems. Independent suspension by transverse leaf at front and coils and trailing links at the rear, ront disc brakes.
Very nice condition and most probably the nicest one in the Country since all I see out there are rust buckets that were not taken care off. Drives great, hifts very well, rakes are good, ires are virtually new. The paint has a lot of shine although it shows some small areas of overspray but you have to look for it. All electrical seem to work well and someone installed an electrical ignition that starts the car right up. Sounds great and gets a lot of attention. The top seems to be new. The chrome still looks good but started showing some pitting in the back bumper. Small area but I want to make sure I describe the car the way I would like it if I would to buy it sight unseen. The windshield is delaminating a bit on the right side. There is no rust to be found.I ordered a different spider 850 steering wheel from the same year to replace the one it has since the rubber on it is cracking a bit but the center horn hub is a different size, o it comes with the car if someone wants to replace it. Also a tool set and manuals. I have owned the car for a year now and have done absolutely nothing to it. I've driven it around the neighborhood a few times and mainly bought it to be part of my collection.I planned on keeping the car but I came across a couple of other Italian cars and need to sacrifice the 850 and make room. This is not a concourse car, ut it is a very clean driver car, hat is well-sorted and ready to enjoy or kept as a collectable car with potential appreciation in value.
