I AM SELLING MY 1980 FIAT 124 SPIDER PININFARINA 2000 FUEL INJECTED AUTOMATIC CONVERTIBLE. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS FIAT AND MY BROTHER AND I HAVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE 2005. I SOLD IT TO MY BROTHER IN 2006 WHO KEPT IT UNTIL THIS YEAR AT WHICH TIME I BOUGHT IT BACK FROM HIM. HE IS RESTORING HIS OLD BMW CONVERTIBLE AND NEEDED TO SELL THIS FIAT IN ORDER TO PAY FOR THE PAINT JOB ON HIS BMW.
WE HAVE ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PAPER WORK FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER FROM WHEN THE FIAT WAS PURCHASED NEW INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, THE ORIGINAL SERVICE RECORDS AND ALL OF THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUALS THAT CAME WITH THE FIAT WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED. (SEE PHOTOS). THE CAR WAS UNDERCOATED WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED BY THE ORIGINAL OWNERS AND THAT UNDERCOATING PAPER WORK IS ALSO INCLUDED. THIS UNDERCOATING IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST REASON THAT THE CAR HAS NO RUST AT ALL. MY BROTHER AND I HAVE KEPT ALL OF THE SERVICE RECORDS FROM WHEN WE HAVE OWNED IT. WE HAVE ALSO ACCUMULATED MANY USEFUL MANUALS FOR THIS FIAT INCLUDING THE WORK SHOP MANUAL, THE WIRING DIAGRAMS, THE FUEL INJECTION DIAGNOSIS AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND OTHERS.WE HAVE QUITE A FEW OTHER PUBLICATIONS THAT ARE INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS FIAT (SEE PHOTOS). IN ADDITION TO THE MANUALS WE HAVE ACCUMULATED MANY SPARE PARTS FOR THE FIAT THAT ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY HARD TO FIND. WE ARE INCLUDING WITH PURCHASE OF THIS FIAT A SPARE AIR FLOW METER, A SPARE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODUAL, MANY SPARE SOLINOIDS, HEADLIGHT, FUEL PUMP, IGNITION SWITCH, STEERING WHEEL, WHEEL CENTER HUP CAPS AND EMBLEMS AND HEADLIGHT. THE FIAT EVEN HAS IT'S ORIGINAL TOOL KIT THAT CAME WITH THE CAR.
WE ALWAYS GARAGED THE FIAT WHEN IT WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN. IT DRIVES GREAT AND IS VERY FUN AND EASY TO DRIVE, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS AUTOMATIC. MY WIFE EVEN COMMENTED ON HOW EASY IT IS TO GET IN AND OUT OF IT. THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE AND IT GETS A LOT OF STARES AND COMMENTS EVERY TIME WE TAKE IT OUT. THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE DRIVE-ABILITYOF THE CAR THAT I HAVE NOTICED. WE JUST HOP IN AND TAKE OFF. IT DOES HAVE TYPICAL RATTLES WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING IT, NOT UNCOMMON FOR A CAR THIS AGE. IT COULD PROBABLY USE SOME NEW BUSHINGS OR TIE ROD ENDS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. WHEN I WAS TAKING PHOTOS OF THE UNDERSIDE I NOTICED THAT THE MUFFLER HANGER IS BROKEN AND IS WIRED UP AT THIS TIME. THAT COULD PROBABLY BE WELDED AT YOUR LOCAL EXHAUST SHOP IN 15 MINUTES.
THE CAR COMES WITH A NEW STEERING WHEEL THAT LOOKS SPECTACULAR. WE ALSO HAVE INCLUDED A FRONT BRA FOR THE CAR. THERE IS A CARPET DASH COVER THAT COMES WITH THE CAR. WE ARE ALSO INCLUDING AN OIL PAN GUARD FOR THE CAR THAT YOU CAN PUT ON TO PROTECT THE OIL PAN IN CASE YOU WANT TO GO RALLY RACING IN THE FIAT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
THERE ARE LITTLE FLAWS HERE AND THERE ON THE CAR AS I MENTIONED ABOVE IN THE "CONDITION" SECTION OF MY LISTING BUT THESE MINOR IMPERFECTIONS HARDLY SHOW AT ALL WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING IT. THE FIAT DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUST ON IT TO SPEAK OF. WHERE STONES HAVE HIT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROCKER PANELS AND THE BACKS OF THE REAR FENDERS BEHIND THE WHEELS THERE ARE PLACES WHERE THE PAINT HAS CHIPPED. THOSE CHIPPED SPOTS ARE SHOWING SOME SMALL SPECS OF SURFACE RUST BUT THERE IS NOTHING RUSTING THROUGH AT ALL. I HAVE PROBED AND LOOKED ALL OVER TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY RUST HOLES OF ANY SORT AND I HAVE FOUND NONE AT ALL. AS I MENTIONED ABOVETHE CAR WAS UNDERCOATED WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED BY THE ORIGINAL OWNERS AND THAT UNDERCOATING PAPER WORK IS ALSO INCLUDED WITH ALL THE OTHER ORIGINAL PAPER WORK.
