Car description

Daring to be different is great, especially if the different is as good looking as this 1935 Dodge 5-Window Coupe. With a sleek aerodynamic look, wonderful art-deco styling details, and strong small-block Chevy V8 horsepower, it's one of those awesome rods that will stand out just by virtue of being something other than a Ford or a Chevy.
The bright teal paint certainly helps this one grab everyone's attention, but it's the detailing that will make them look closer. The sleek Dodge coupe has a unique look that was similar to the hotrod styling from the other automakers, but the long wheelbase, low stance, and sleek tail section make it look far more radical than most. Finish quality is driver-grade with a few years on the build that still looks great, with nice body gaps and a bright shine that can only come from a lot of time invested in buffing and polishing the final finish when it was completed. Much of the original trim was retained, and it really sparkles against that teal paint, which is further punctuated with some slick pinstripe work throughout the body. We're particularly fond of the front end, which offers neat details like the dipped front end and bumper delete, familiar ram hood ornament, and a very cool grille that seems to look as tall as the entire car. Add in a host of hood vents, swooping fenders, and bright stainless trim, and the whole car seems to be in motion like one of those old paintings showing cars at speed. We love the oval rear window and rumble-seat style trunk out back, and get a load of those super-cool 'Dodge' taillights. And it is worth noting that this coupe is entirely steel as well, which is one of the top reasons this coupe will always have great value.
Despite the fact that this beauty is a coupe, there's plenty of room inside, where it has been handsomely reupholstered in blue cloth. The split bench look great inside this Dodge, and despite it being a singular unit, there's still plenty of room for two inside. They skipped any pretense of making it look exactly like a 1935 Dodge inside, but that's OK because the handsome upholstery and paint work shows well and makes it a very comfortable place to be on a road trip. The original Dodge gauges will left in place in the center of the painted dash, all of which were refurbished and are in great working condition, augmented with a Dolphin tachometer strapped to the steering wheel. Cold Vintage Air A/C blows out of the vents mounted underneath the dash, there's a full array of new switches to the left of the steering wheel, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit was integrated into the dash as well. Up top a custom sunroof lets in extra light, light carpets add a plush feeling that speaks softly of luxury, and the tilt column with a sporty 4-spoke steering wheel with a super-cool center badge is a nice touch. And please take a moment to note that this car includes a spacious, finished trunk with custom compartments that's ideal for long-distance touring.
A familiar 400 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 lives under the hood and it was built for the long hauls. It's got some great chrome dress-up pieces, a performance intake, and dual Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetors, all of which work together seamlessly to make it run great and look cool. A big radiator with an auxiliary fan keeps things cool, and R134a refrigerant in the Vintage A/C system make it a trusted highway cruiser for long hauls and service access is pretty good. Power 4-wheel disc brakes and power steering give this streetrod great road manners, as do the tubular A-arms and coilovers up front, while the dual Flowmasters give it a wonderfully throaty yet mellow exhaust note. A heavy-duty rear end with highway-friendly gears inside makes the car feel lively around town, but it's easily tamed by the TH400 3-speed automatic transmission that manages the shifts. It's got just the right rake, augmented by a set of flashy Eagle alloy wheels and 205/70/15 front and 225/70/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials.
Nicely built and preserved through the years, this handsome Dodge stands out both in terms of quality and rarity. Why do what everyone else is doing when the alternative looks this good? Call today!
