These older Dodge PowerWagons were cool little trucks. I am amazed at the smooth tight turning radius and the responsive 4 Low Four wheel drive's ability to pull out of the sand. All four gears (four speed transmission) and reverse are working fine. The Four wheel drive engages fine and works good. This truck seems to be geared with more lower end torque than top speed. I put good used tires (all over 50% tread) on the truck earlier this year and have driven it about 1500 miles. More tha half of thos miles were towing a trailer weighing at least a 2500#. Even without a trailer, the top speed barely makes today's highway speed limits. The 318 motor does burn an extraordinary amount of oil, so a lack of speed could possibly be from wear in the motor? Personally I would find an old van or motorhome and swap to a 360ci motor. I would probably keep the truck if it were an outomatic transmission. The Cosmetic condition of this truck is "FAIR" (NOT GOOD) as can be observed in all the pictures included in this auction. This truck appears to be all original and has not had any restoration work done. Original bench seat is in poor condition and has a new saddle blanket seat cover. Truck had been sitting for about 15 years before I put it back on the road in early 2020. Door locks and latches were sticking and or not functioning and needed oil/grease from non use. I had someone start working on the latches and handles and they never put the handles, locking rods or panels back together. All Windows do roll up and funtion and both doors latch and open, except driver's door does sag slightly and will need adjustment.Picture of Camper is for illustrative purposes only...shell was removed and SOLD earlier this year. Which may explain why the truck's bed did not and DOES NOT have a tailgate (no tailgate included).
