This is a rock solid '68 Charger with a strong running 440 and console shift 727 automatic. The 440 and 727 trans were rebuilt a few thousand miles ago and both operate perfectly! It's got an Edelbrock Performance intake, an Edelbrock 4 bbl carburetor and electronic ignition. It also has factory HP exhaust manifolds with a near new complete 2 ½" aluminized dual exhaust system with correct hangers, clamps, Hemi mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. Its got excellent raised white letter radial tires on 15" painted steel wheels, dog dish caps and a vintage redline spare. There are newer shocks and front end steering and suspension have been rebuilt at sometime as well.
The car is basically a very nice mostly original unrestored rust free first year second generation Charger. It has a very nice original interior with NO cracks on the dash pad or on the door upper panels. The exterior appears to have had just one re-paint sometime in the original factory color, JJ code Medium Gold Metallic. It is very straight with only a few minor imperfections on it and overall looks great. The frame rails, floor pans and underside are rock solid with no rust ever and are original with no pitting or corrosion. The trunk floor does have some pitting in the center section from the condensation that forms under the rubber trunk mat, but it is solid. The vinyl top is in excellent condition. The chrome and grill are very nice and the headlights operate as they should.Really, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner mostly original '68 Charger anywhere!
Some features on it include AM radio, 150 MPH Rally gauges, Woodgrain Steering Wheel, Power Steering, Bucket Seats with center console, dual mirrors, R/T tail stripes and badges, an under dash AM-FM-Cassette and more. The original jack is in the trunk and the original owners manual with the original Certi-Card are in the glove box.The original seatbelts are all there. The car overall is in great condition and it starts, runs and drives down the road excellent. It sounds like a Muscle Car should and has a great look and stance! If you have been looking then you know that clean and original '68 Chargers are very hard to find and most out there are overpriced or project cars. This one is a very nice car with a few nice performance modifications and you can drive and enjoy it right now. It has the Charger R/T look and performance without the higher price tag!
