Car description |
---|
Original 1992 Dodge Spirit ES Turbo 5-spd with TII conversion and FMIC as well as 46 trim .63 A/R turbo, ported head, 2 piece fully ported intake with 52mm TB, forged bottom end Venolias with shot peened TII rods ARP hardware, rebuilt trans with 6 puck ceramic clutch.
Owned since 06 and has been summer driven only with meticulous maintenance and up keep. Runs 17psi on 93-94 octane pump gas making around 300hp and 350tq. Build is capable of much more but really no reason as it checks all the boxes as it is. This Spirit is what 99% of people who attempt to build these car are shooting for, Great power with stock like comfort and drivability as well as great (35mpg @65mph) economy and reliability.
I've taken pics as I would want to see them from any Turbo Dodge I would be interested in buying to show over all condition. Power train has always been bone dry with no leaks and has performed flawlessly over the time I've owned the car. Interior is the cleanest I've ever seen in a Spirit. I pulled the seats and had carpet shampoo'd the first year I owned it and was only small areas of surface rust starting on floor at that time. Scrubbed them down, rust converted, then 3 coats of por15 and car has remained in same condition ever since.
The Good; This is a turn key needs nothing but proper octane fuel and regular oil changes drive anywhere car with enough power on tap to satisfy any driver.
Exhaust note is Mean, but zero drone at hwy speed. This is the best exhaust compromise between performance and keeping your hearing in tact that I have experienced in one of these cars.
Working cold A/C as well as cruise/ tilt PW/ DL's CD player ect.
Passed provincial inspection last year, brakes, clutch and new Kumho tires went on 3 years ago but only put around 2400kms since then.
Clutch is tame and broken in properly so anyone who drives a stick can drive this car. Just ask the wife!
The bad; O/H console stopped working 2 years ago and I haven't had time to find a fix for it.
Spirit is running 2 1/2" SRT-4 exhaust with straight through muff/ res on end. I used a spray can ceramic coating 7-8 years ago when exhaust was done that lasted great for about 3 years, then started cracking and holding moisture in, then flaking off. So exhaust looks like poop, but still solid, just rusty looking.
I've molded this grocery getter into the best of all worlds cruiser. Had Iboc's all around but front felt like crap so now has mopar perf struts with MP G-body springs and Iboc's in rear only. Was going to track it just to see how it would do, but never had the time and it was never a priority because I already have my track car!
Will help in any way I can as far as working with your shipper or even meeting you at border as I'm central southern Manitoba and only 45min away.
May be able to arrange reasonable shipping up to 500 miles, maybe more. Originally brought Spirit up from US so importing should be no problem, plus it's over 25 years old now.
Any Q's don't hesitate to ask.
