Car description

Originally a "fleet" car with a 225ci slant six; "904" automatic trans; 2.76 ratio 7 1/4" open rear end; 1 1/2 "manual drum brakes; cloth bench seats; power steering and no radio. It was essentially rust free ( lower 1/4 panels and the right rear of the trunk ). I stripped the suspension, steering, and brake and fuel lines. The rust free under side was cleaned and frame connectors were welded in. It was then given two coats of Eastwood rubberized undercoating and a new exhaust system and fuel line. The original rear end was replaced with an 8 1/4" 3.55 ratio "Sure Grip" rear end with new axle bearings and seals, original re-arched springs with "Poly" bushings and new KYB gas shocks and stabilizer bar. The front end has the lower control arms boxed. all new "Moog" rod ends and upper and lower ball joints and new caster/camber adjusters, KYB gas shocks, and a stabilizer bar. The torsion bars were replaced with larger diameter bars from a V-8 air conditioned car. The rear brakes are now 2 1/2" drums. I replaced everything outboard from the backing plates with new parts. The drums have been turned. Front brakes are disks. The rotors, calipers, pads and wheel bearings are new. Upgraded to power steering with all new parts All brake lines are new from the master cylinder to the front calipers and the rear wheel cylinders These changes required wheels with 5 on 4 1/2" BC. Found and refurbished a set of 15" Police wheels and installed new tires Rustproofed inside rocker panels with Eastwood internal frame coating. The 1/4 panels and the right rear of the trunk floor were replaced and the car got a coat of epoxy primer. Painted with base/clear Chrysler Corp paint "Maximum Steel Metallic" Changed to a A933 four speed over drive transmission. Resurfaced a flywheel, new clutch, pressure plate and TO bearing. Shortened and balance drive shaft new universal joints.Rebuilt the automatic steering column to a floor shift column with new upper and lower bearings (lower plastic bushing was replaced with a roller bearing). . The original steering wheel had more cracks than plastic so I replaced it. Interior was gutted to the metal and the interior panels were refurbished and dyed grey and reinstalled. The original cloth seats were scrap, I found a nice rear seat and dyed it grey and replaced the front seats with Firebird cloth buckets (drivers seat is electric ). The bare floor pan was cleaned up and given two coats of Duplicolor "Bed Armor" bed liner, a layer of roll on and glue sound deadener/heat guard, and new OEM style carpet. The windshield was replaced as was all weather stripping. New rocker panel cover plates were installed along with new 3 point retractable seat belts. New rear seat speakers were installed int the package tray and wire was led forward. A brand new radio and speakers are included, but not installed ( Pioneer DEH-S4000BT radio & Pyle PL436BL 4"x6" 20 W speakers ). New door mirrors were installed. Removed the amp meter and replaced with a volt meter. Rewired the new 90 amp alternator to feed the new battery directly and both ground and positive junction blocks were installed. The under dash wiring is fed from the positive junction block. Eliminated the Mopar electronic ignition completely and installed a GM HEI ignition from a 1999 GMC pick up. Wired the ignition switch to a relay to run the ignition system so the ignition gets a full 13.5 volts. The stee, four bladed fan, was replaced with an 8 bladed thermostatic fan from a Mercedes Benz. The car runs and drives like new (maybe better than new) The bottom line is that it is not without flaws, see images of the paint chips. A car cover in included. This car is sold "AS IS" A warranty is neither stated or implied. A non refundable $1000 deposit is required within 5 business days and the balance ( either Cashiers Check or Cash )is due upon picking up the vehicle. Buyer is responsible for arranging transportation.
