Car description |
---|
This is one of my favorite C body’s. It’s a big car but looks tough and has a muscle car look, in my opinion. I hate to sell it but I need to as I have too many cars (so the city tells me).
Body:This body is very straight and still wears (what’s left of it) the original paint. Never been wrecked and always been an Arizona car. The only body issue is the roof. It had a vinyl top so there is some surface rust and a small hole about 1/2in diameter. Easily fixed, does not need a whole roof. Other than that there is surface rust in the trunk but no holes or weak spots. Interior floors are good as well. Lower quarters, rockers, rails, sub frame, trunk lid, hood, doors and fenders are all nice. The bumpers are straight, the grille is nice, all the trim is there and in good shape and all the glass is good. One tail light is broke but I have an extra set of tail lights I’ll include.
Interior:In a word, baked! The interior is dry and crisp from nearly 50 years in the sun. I do have an extra set of interior door panels I’m including. Pretty much everything inside needs redone but it’s all there.
Mechanics:Was a 318 V8 with a 727 trans. Both are gone now as I was planning on installing a big block. I have all the shift linkage and drive shaft. The wiring is all there and not junk. I also have a radiator from a big block C-body I’ll include. Stock 8 3/4 is still there. Drum brakes all around, power steering and no a/c from the factory. It did have an aftermarket ac system but that’s all gone now. All the tires hold air and the car steers and rolls fine.
This car would be a driver with an engine/trans of your choice. Wish I could build it but it’s just not going to happen for me. Hope this finds a good home. If you have any questions please let me know. No reserve auction!
