Relive the days when Chrysler produced 383 big block A-body Dodges, that would give the brand Xers a wake up call and leave them second guessing their purchase. This 1970 Dodge Dart tribute to the 1968 and 1969 GTS 383 has been restored to give you that new car feel. The power plant is a seasoned 1966 383 rebuilt to factory specs rated at 335 HP. An Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor sits atop the Edelbrock aluminum single plane intake. The spark production has been upgraded to electronic ignition. Spent gases flow thru factory cast iron exhaust manifolds and are carried out back thru a full dual exhaust system with "H" cross over. The power is churned thru a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission, fitted with a deep pan and B&M shift kit, competition cable shifter and transmission cooler. There is an 8-3/4 rear axle with 3:23/1 posi-traction gears, putting that power to the ground. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded with 4 big block brake drums, torsion bars and rear leaf springs. Also has new steering box, master cylinder, fuel and brake lines, aluminum radiator and stainless dress up shroud. Replacement carpet and headliner, great condition covers on the high back bucket front seats and rear bench seat, complete the interior. There's an am/fm stereo/cassette player w/4 speakers for cruising tunes. A tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure, voltage meter, and fuel gauge hang under the dash to keep you informed of the engine's vitals. Stock steel wheels painted to match the body, with factory small dish covers, finish the look of originality and carry 225/70-15" Cooper tires. Newer shiny paint, great stainless trim all around, with 2 straight, clean, bright, shiny, chrome bumpers. There are welded in frame connectors in this very rust free car from the southern US. Complete with solid original passenger floors, trunk and under carriage, to support this nice example of muscle car era, Dodge A-body, tribute car. Write me with any questions you may have.
