1966 Dodge Dart 225 slant six automatic transmission
I've owned this car for 12 years. I did the paint and body work 10 years ago and I've been driving it since. The graphics are all paint buried under clear coat. I've done all the work on the car myself with the exception of the exhaust and front end alignment, I left those to professionals with proper equipment. The front suspension has been rebuilt with new upper and lower ball joints, new upper and lower control arm bushings, new tie rod ends and new shocks. New brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines and a new dual pot master cylinder have been installed. I have the parking brake cables, but I haven't installed them yet. New upholstery, carpet, headliner, steering wheel, dash pad, custom built console, stereo, speakers, custom built exhaust with Cone Engineering tip. New fuel pump (one electric and one OEM), fuel lines, 2 fuel filters, fuel level sending unit, air cleaners and a rare 1961 Offenhauser dual carburetor intake manifold with factory one barrel carburetors. The 74K mile 1974 225 slant six has new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, condenser, points, gaskets, belts, hoses, breather cap and battery. New chrome alternator, water pump and oil pump. New door and trunk weather stripping. The trunk is clean and still has the original jack and a full sized spare that matches the other four 17" wheels and tires. The car is well sorted and runs, drives and stops as it should. It has front and rear three point shoulder harness seat belts. The fuel tank has been cleaned and sealed and has no leaks. The radiator has been cleaned and sealed and also has no leaks. The front and rear bumpers and door handles have all been rechromed. All of the lights work, the speedometer and odometer work, but the ODOMETER IS WRONG. I don't know the actual miles on the car, but judging by the wear (or lack of) on everything I have replaced the mileage is surely under 100K. Then again, since almost everything is less than 10 years old now the mileage doesn't matter much. The doors open and close with a nice thunk and no hinge wear. I will include a 1966 Dodge Dart Factory Service Manual and any spare parts, trim, gaskets, etc.. As you can see I've put a lot of time, money and love into this car, but it's time for a new caretaker. I have ambitious plans for a new car project and I need the space and capital. Please have a comfortable parking space for it.
