1971 DeTomaso Pantera Pre-LThis is a nicely detailed local show worthy restoration. All trim was removed for paint and epoxy primer used to seal the car. Body is very straight with no dents. no scratches and no rust anywhere. Rockers and floors are exceptionally clean with original weld points and factory drains visable on rockers. no aftermarket. original rockers and floors. Engine was completely rebuilt and now has roller rockers. very mild cam. headers going to factory exhaust with new factory style tips. Starts right up and sounds awesome. Cooling upgrades were done by adding new cooling fans. ZF transaxle shifts very smooth and has been saftey wired for added protection. While engine and trans were out. I added a new Pilot bushing and throw out bearing. clutch slave cyl and master cyl. Engine bay nicely detailed and painted. Brakes were completely rebuilt. new seals put in calipers. new stainless steel brake lines installed and new master cyl installed. At same time all suspenion was sanded and painted (A-arms. coil overs. calipers etc) new ball joints and tie rod ends installedInterior is very nice with new carpet. clean dash. nice shine to gauges and interior trim. Rare uncut door panels. most cars have been cut for door speakers. these are unmolested. As and early car (#1579) it is one of the first 200 cars imported into the USA. Early cars had some very desirable. rare and unique features as seen on this car. Rare 2 piece windshield trim. rare flat deck lid. rare pot metal rear side marker housings. Aluminum gas tank wrapped by the factory in fiberglass. Yes it is factory original. Rare to the point of unobtainable screw in type wiper grills and more. Panteras in them selves are a unique car. as an early car with these features. this car is unique even amoung other panteras. The car runs and drives nice. shows well and gets lots of attention. I have a clean Florida title for the car. If there are any weak points. it would be that the back tires are old and should be replaced. wheels could use a bit of referbishing and although it is all there. the A/C is not connected. very minor drip from ZF. There is a crack in the plastic seat belt retractor cover. small item but it is there. Note: pictures show the car with out the stereo. nbsp; I have one but it is not a perfect fit and sticks out about half an inch. easy replacement.
