1958 Desoto Firesweep Sportsman 4 door Hardtop Car is a regular 2 barrel, ot the 4 barrel power pack that was optional on the Desoto. I bought this car several years ago to restore, ince then I've moved to Tennessee and left the car in Kansas. I've decided to sell it now as I have no room for it since I have three vehicles and a small driveway. I haven't done anything to it at all.It is rated a Grade 5. Current condition is as follows: Someone took the carb and intake manifold off and they are in the trunk. It looks like they were replacing the intake gaskets because the new gaskets are sitting on the block. It needs floor pans up front and the rocker panels replaced. There is rust above both rear fender wells, he right side is a little worse than the left. The front clip is pretty good. It needs a new interior. The glass is fairly good, he front windshield is a little hazy. As far as I can tell the only missing parts are the hub caps, he oil pressure gage, nd the radio knobs. The front grille is slightly bent. It needs new dual radio antennas. It's got the push button tranny commonly known as "the typewriter". This car will need to be restored but there's a gold mine here if you want to part it out, ust think how much that back bumper is worth and you'll bid on this car in a second. The car is located in Portis, S which is in the North Central part of the State. Winning bidder must make arrangements to pick up the vehicle at time of payment. I will give you my friends' phone number, ith the winning bid, nd he can help you load it out. Email your questions to skarcoli@aol.com and I will get back to you. If you're a Mo-Par freak this is the car you've been waiting for! I guarantee you'll be the only kid on the block with something like this.
