This is a 1968 Datsun 520 pickup. Last year for the 520.This is a beauty. Rustfree as possible in a non worked 50 year old truck. A little rust bubbling down low on both door rear corners. A little rustthru on front floors I tried to show in pics. Very minor.Excellent rustfree cab corners, rockers,bed floor,frame,wheel arches.Even the battery tray area is nice. Has been sitting in storage for a long time. Previous owner was starting to do work to it. New carb and air filter, new tires, powder coated rims, including spare, new fuel pump,,new clutch and brake master cylinders, rebuilt radiator,brake work, hoses,New rubber door gaskets and either a windshield or rear window in the Japanese labelled bags. I kind of put the drivers side in. The others are still in the bags. With the wiper fluid original hangdown bag on top of them. There are no door panels. Excellent glass all around. The rear brakes need new cylinders as the shoes are too tight. I pulled one of the rear left shoes off so it would roll. This truck is as original as is out there. Well not the hangdown Boss radio and speaker boxes mounted on either side below the dash. Also the infamous cheap Walmart special seat cover. But everything else.Including the original long jack handle behind the seat. Original Pagoda Red Code 524 paint, Original matching number 1300 engine. Put some gas in the tank, put hot battery to it, turned the key and it fired right up. Idles nice, no smoke, Did a compression check and got 115-12psi. Should improve with some run time.No hydraulics up yet, so did not drive. Not to mention the no brake thing with rear missing shoe.This truck has led a good life so far. Has not been beat to death like most old pickups. The bed and tailgate are flat,nice, clean and lightly used. No scrap iron hauler here. No landscape, junk hauling rig either. This thing is clean, In and out. Top and bottom.Restore this back to stock. Will not take much at all.Or go custom and slam it to the ground. Either way, this is as nice a base to start with as is out there. Overall this will be a great 520 to work with. Probably as rustfree as is out there.And that is getting harder to say as every day goes by.Clean straight title.I travel around mostly the West Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money.
