1972 Nissan Datsun 240Z --L28ET Conversion

You don't come across machines like this often that get driven and taken everywhere possible where the road leads.L28ET Z's are very rare these days and don't last long on Ebay.
Its the reasons I bought this one in a heart beat.
I've been on and off about selling the Z but I believe its time.
I keep putting it on here and taking it off because,
a beautiful Nissan Silvia has came up and I honestly want it.
I bought this Z sight unseen.It needed a major amount of work.Now shes better then she was in 1972.

This Z was a childhood dream for me.If you look at my previous sales I had one that looked almost identical to this one.I spent a ton of money on it and I always dreamed of having the Z at the current stage.When I found this, it was quietly resting in San Diego, California. This Z has lived most of its life in Hot climates and the chassis is solid but not perfect..Unbelievably for a car of this age there is NO rot on the floors or rails and everything is as clean as I can see.The Z had been undercoated by a P.O.Its driven daily..She used to be a cover shop car for JPN Garage. If you have the chance check it out on Google.This car has been in almost every Instagram profile like and all over the internet.
Details:

I literally spent a fortune to get this car the way it is running and driving properly.This is a Drivers car. Don't expect Barret Jackson quality paint and flawless interior.Expect a car that can be driven daily and to a racetrack without any issues or it falling apart.
I drive it everywhere.5 days a week. Even 7.
I installed a authentic set of Marugen Shoukai fender flares from Japan. The absolute best.Also did a proper install by installing rivet nuts into the body.Uses Allen key bolts for easy removal and re assembly.Not like the previous owner who literally used sheet rock screws to mount the fenders.I took the Z to a professional paint shop and had the fenders properly clearanced for the wheels and for any future upgrades the next owner decides to go for.I still have the superwide JPN garage Flares that came with the Z.If you want to put mosterious wheels you can the Z should be able to handle it.(Had 10.5 inch wheels previously ALL AROUND)
Fuse box and all the electrical components were upgraded to modern spec fuses.You will see down below on the list the amounts up upgrades that were performed.The rear stub shafts were also upgraded and ALL the bearings were replaced with new corresponding races with the best. Timken. 1 Rear brake line was replaced LR. All the brake fluid was flushed. Motor was recently rebuilt by the previous owner and the head is as silent as a V12 Benz.
Its truly a great car and I love the memories I've had with it but I just don't have the means or resources to continue to use it as often as I do.She was driven up and down the east coast without missing a beat. Boston, Cape Cod, and back and forth to NYC countless times.
Would be great for someone who has Z shops near or the Knowledge to go buck wild on a S30 or just use as a cruiser.

I went all out and have a Godzilla Race Works KA rebuilt transmission kit installed in the Z.$2000.00+ upgrade alone.Details below about this.All the corresponding transmission parts were also replaced since I had the transmission down.Clutch, Pressure Plate,Flywheel you name it.

The stock ECCS does work fine and i replaced anything and ever sensor that could fail.minus the Knock Sensor.
All main Engine service parts have been done.Water Pump/Clutch Fan/ Fan Belt.Even replaced the Engine Dampener since they are prone to fail and separate due to age.

The fuel system was also gone over with new lines and new fuel pump and new FPR.Also installed a fuel pump relay system to prevent load being sucked from the ignition circuit.
Brand new injectors (6) the Air Flow Meter was also taken apart cleaned/serviced and resealed.
The custom exhaust system was also fixed up.Upon arrival,Everything was welded in one piece...I took the Z to a custom exhaust place and added a 2.5 inch flange kit so you can now remove the down pipe for service to the transmission or turbo manifold.It also have a flex pipe welded in with the proper mounts.A Vibrant 2.5" power muffler was installed, with a 2.5inch exhaust tubing all the way to the front.Custom 2.5 down-pipe from the turbo back.

The wheels are very rare discontinuted Work Glowstar wheels from Japan.These retail for 3000.00 Just so you know.Hard to get a set as they have to brought in directly by Star Road JP.
They also come wrapped in Advan A052 Tires. Extreme Summer Tires.
I believe that the asking price is reasonable considering that the Z is on the rise as far as prices go
. Considering there are Z's selling for more then my asking and still have not been mechanically restored to this extent and don't offer the components i have installed.

Please understand that this is a nearly 50 year old car..Its not perfect. No car fully un-restored Z is.It does have imperfections in the paint but, still shows very well and is why my price reflects that.small misshap with bumper R/S. Does not affect the drive ability of the Z in any way.No cracks or fractures just rubbed on tire and didnt notice it untill the tire chewed it away.I will include a brand new bumper from MSA.Honestly not noticeable though.The rear interior portion of the Z is also missing the vinyl.
